Matthew Hamilton: Hip spot for good coffee. Bright interior, but a bit small. No problem though, since it's a block away from Hudson River Park!
Ashley Chan: Not my favorite place for the coffee, but a fantastic place to work and hang with friends for a casual brunch. Pastries are sourced from Balthazar and the place is social and bright.

Barrila Twins: Finally a place you can get Good ube ice cream that isn't located in the supermarket. Their bright interior makes their cafe cheerful & modern
Olivia Z.: The ube coconut soft serve swirl is amazing!! Clean and bright with great toppings! My boyfriend got the matcha soft serve and it was also fantastic!
Kate Furman: Ube is a must if you haven't tried it already, but the matcha green tea / black sesame swirl is also amazing. You can get multiple flavors in a large cup if you want to try them all.

DoubleDeuce: Definitely a trendy West Village spot. Plenty of brightness, great food, tasty bread (if it doesn't get over-toasted) and great drink options.
Michael Anthony: Came for the martinis but the food was actually great too. Loved the steak tartare. Skirt steak and pork chop were both great entrees.

F. Bastard: Vic's has never failed me. It's probably my favorite brunch spot in the city: bright and airy, laid back vibe, tasty and original dishes. The staff are pleasant and cheerful, too.
Lou Ligouri: Its all delicious. Mezcal negroni is perfect.
Paul Underhay: Bright, clean, funky place with delicious breakfast fare. Coffee, juice, eggs and avocado on sourdough toast all exceptional. Nice vibe, smart service and cool tunes.
Risa: The mushroom toast is hearty, bright, and nourishing. Great spot for meetings, or sitting and working between meetings.
James Edie: Incredible flavour from humble ingredients. Love it.
