Coming from a born/bred Californian - by far the best Mexican joint in all of Manhattan. The friendly family who runs it serves up delicious tacos and sopas. Many a nights in the EV have ended here.

Really wonderful brunch. Try the duck enmoladas, the tostada, and the chilaquiles:) the sope and nopales salad are also very nice.
Came for brunch. Husk meringue is a must try, really interesting blend of textures and flavors. Lamb barbacoa is huge and can easily feed 4 people. Egg sope was good. Enfrijolada was too salty

dont get the sopas. extremely bland taste, especially the Chilate. but other than that cant go wrong with the burritos.
Best tacos in the west side. Lengua is my favorite! Friendly staff and mixed clientele (mostly regulars). Don't order anything else if it is your first time.
Get the sopes and the enchiladas. They also make their horchata in the restaurant
The cemitas are like if Mexico and a greasy spoon diner had a baby and put it on a bun. To be eaten. So good.
It's BYOB, and the tinga (chicken) sopas are amazing!!
The sopes are flavorful and authentic. My favorite is the beef although the plain is just as good. The guacamole is a must have!
No longer BYOB so order up! Skip the tortilla sopa. Guacamole is very fresh! Opt for a wet burrito since the regular tends to be on the dry side. Last time I went it smelled of bug spray but has an A.

The food isgreat and authentic. Large portions are served and the juices are fresh. Awesome.
Go here for Ecuadorian ceviche de pescado (fish) and a jugo (juice) de naranjilla. There are other authentic dishes if you're ready to explore the menu. The bollos are great when they have them.

All the tacos are great, short rib quesadilla very good, sopa good, 3 salsas, service and seating not good. Intercom didnt work so they did nothing... very slow. Horchata not good.

Can't go wrong with carne asada quesadilla. Very cheesy with sautéed mushrooms and onions.

I think it's been 7 years now and this is still my favorite Mexican food spot. Mole is out of this world and the sopa is a hangover cure.
This place is the best. Huevos a la Mexicana is probably my #1 top favorite meal of all time.
Sopa de pollo - absolutely LUV IT if u hava cold. Their chicken is the best and they use batata, not potato, for a slightly sweeter nice texture.

Try the tres leches - This tres leches cake is so good, you'll swear there are seis leches in it. Really, leave room for dessert, or just skip dinner entirely and get this.
