Pacific Union: Best music venue in the East Bay! An intimate space with a hugely diverse lineup of performers. Music runs the gamut,from reggae to hip hop to brass bands to funk to dancehall. Read more.

Tasting Table: Date night? Head to Duende and order the arroz negro paella ($40 for two people). It's one of the best meals in town and is definitely a centerpiece at this Spanish-inspired restaurant. Read more.

Matt Opsahl: Sat at the bar on a quiet Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the zucchini flat crust pizza, which was just enough for two. Delicious! Would like to come back for a date night for pizza and beer/cocktails.

Brian Strauss: Love it. Best pasta in the East Bay hands down. Small, intimate. Great Italian wine list. We sat at the bar and had a great time drinking, eating, and bullshitting with the bar staff.

Ashley Mowrey: Get the gin and tonic and pizza with nettles or chanterelles. Everything is so damn good. Get in when they first open, no need to be picky about when you eat, just get in when you can.
Adelin Cai: Everything is delicious here. Thanks to a friend's recommendation, I now get their tonic (no alcohol) with each meal for $4. Every time it's just a little bit different.

Kelli Johnston: Fun decor, comfy seating, great beer and food selection, cheap movies. Classics like Harold and Maude. What more could you want? So happy we have a view-and-brew in Oakland again.
