Coolest trail with the most shade. Lots of frogs in the pond. Best trail for saguaro cactus. Make sure to pound some pods and taste the sweet flour.
Every time I visit, I am having to help identify species of plants for people by finding a volunteer, a staff-member. Their is a critical need for horticultural identification signage.
The wildflower season rebounded a bit, but with unseasonably reasonable weather, great place to see everything. Keep your eyes and feet on the trails. A teddy-bear cholla is not fun to hug..
I love this place. Great pool and beautiful grounds to walk on. The cactus garden is amazing. The food and drink prices are very pricy but that's to be expected at this type of resort.
