I love the new Japanese Style Fried Rice with Edamame, Tofu & Hijiki Seaweed!
If you eat specialty foods or are looking for organic, vegetarian, vegan and / or gluten free products, these guys are much less expensive than the local grocery store, and much more fresh.
Their fruits and vegetables are sold at unbeatable prices. Also you must try their chocolate croissants - find them in the frozen breakfast section.
Really disliked the sushi here. Got the Anna, the Island and the Samurai. They all looked and tasted virtually identical, and all had the same spongy, chewey seaweed wrap. Probably never going back.

I'm biased because the owners are extended family, but this is an outstanding Japanese restaurant. The Udon Sukiyaki is amazing.

Definitely try the champon spicy. So delicious and the noodles are perfectly al dente and chewy. Will definitely come back again!
Don't just go straight to the sushi (which is delicious)... make sure to try the Ramen.
One of the best ramen place in Sac. :P champon is really good ask them to make it spicy. If u love spicy ramen do the "challenge ramen" crazy hot!

4 season roll and double hamachi rolls are to die for.
Bring a sweater its always a bit nippy there and grab a fruitgo before you go (The stuffed jalapeños are bomb btw)
The chef is very skilled. If you aren't too picky you can ask him to make you sushi.

This is Elk Grove's best kept secret! Sushi is as good or better than Mikuni or Fuji Sushi. Large portions, always fresh, and great prices! The college roll and lobster rolls are delicious!
