One of the nicest parks St. Louis has to offer. Small, but quaint. It's absolutely lovely for a walk or a picnic. You might catch sight of a swan or two! Beautiful bridges and flowers. :)
You can rent little sailboats at Rue Lafayette cafe and sail them on the pond.

Always amazing. Pack a picnic and arrive early before the show. On the weekends, there is an abridged children's version before the show. Watch the jester perform before the show. Food & drink sold.
If you go once you will come back again and again. The sets are more fantastic than the year before and the performances are enchanting! Also the green show(s) are delightful.

Wonderful south city park with many things to do here. From handball courts, tennis courts, softball fields and so on. I'm a big fan of the water feature and little coffee shop here as well.
Safe, pretty, clean, and has a cute little coffee shop.
Very pretty park with handball court,baseball field, playground and racquet ball courts. I like the water feature with mosaic art work also.
Be sure to get there early if you're going to wait in line for the free seats. Bring a blanket and have an in-queue picnic! Eat beforehand; the concessions are kind of pricey.
Love this place. Went during summer of 2012 to see dream girls and it was amazing. We were sitting about 13 rows back and it was perfect. Can get uncomfortable if its too hot. The huge fans help

Probably one of the best zoos in the country, especially since it's free to get in! The penguin exhibit is awesome. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes, too.

It is free! The museum has a specialty exhibit every few months and has multiple levels of different types of art. Art Hill right out the front door is perfect for an afternoon picnic!
The St. Louis Art Museum is an amazing collection of art, both old and new. While the newly-renovated modern wing is lovely, I prefer the baroque classics like St. Francis Contemplating a Skull.
Free admission everyday, but the special exhibition is also free on Fridays.

The live music is quiet enough that you can still talk. Beir garden on a summer night is perfect... Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the pretzels are a must with beer!
