My favorite of all the M50 galleries! Their media installations are fun. interesting and often interactive. On my visit, I had to point with a flashlight on an installation to activate it. :)

During EXPO it was Chinese pavilion. Now free museum. Amazing galleries, a lot of foreign exhibitions. Must see for art lovers!

A artistic cafe in m50. Love the atmosphere and decoration here. Could spend a whole day in the cafe!! They will also hold exhibition in the cafe. Coffee is also good

Built in an old power station, the mammoth, 443,000-square-foot museum played host to the 2012 Shanghai Biennale. It’s the first public museum on the mainland to showcase contemporary Chinese art.
This used to be a slaughterhouse back in the 1930s. It now houses a range of shops, restaurants and galleries with really interesting concrete architecture.
Good spot for photography and explore the Art Deco architectures
The closest metro station is Line 4 Hailun Rd. Walking from there should take about 10 minutes.
Exhibiting Chinese contemporary art, previous artists have included Lei Hong and Zhu Jinshi. The real highlight is its downstairs design gallery for large scale installation pieces. Admission is free. Read more.
A decently sized museum, more like a gallery space. Spend a few hours and then go up to the second floor cafe for a nice aerial view of People's Park.
