Look past the flies and surly service and take it for what it is: good, hearty, natural comfort food at a decent price for downtown. Curried Apricot is spicy, B-nut is typical, shroom a bit thin.
No short of comfort food here: the butternut squash soup, roasted red pepper bisque soup, & chocolate banana bread are a few favourites. Also I have never tasted slaw quite like Ravislaw...delicious!

Tucked away at Bloor and Landsdowne is this Italian gem! Intimate atmosphere with lovely staff. The classic meatball with spaghetti with a glass of vino hit the spot!

Opened very recently and features no nonsense Japanese comfort food, home cooked style. Great prices, portions are quite filling and plenty of seating. A great addition to the neighbourhood!
Banana pancake w/ sweet and light maple syrup. Japanese breakfast w:salmon and the coffees are truly delicious. Sakawa is much much more than a coffee shop. They do some catering too.

Club sandwiches were excellent! Try the cheesy one with bacon - it is just gorgeous. Beers were a bit pricey otherwise all good and well.

The keyword here is fried. Forget everything you know about light Japanese food and feast on the tempura, croquettes, and karaage. Great comfort food for winter time.

The Bulgogi is excellent, and “spicy” isn’t a dangerous level of hot, but adds a lovely flavour; I highly recommend!
This is a Neighbourhood gem. Walk by here everyday always see Bob cleaning chopping and cooking. Stopped in for a take home supper and have been back every week . Everything is great. Free cup of soup

I don't need to say anything about the doughnuts, you need to try by yourself. The strawberry frozen is pretty good though.

Great traditional butcher shop but those of us who work in the area know they also make an amazing lunch sandwich for $4 or $5. Give it a try!

Hearty & fresh Italian meals! Homemade pasta & simple red sauce makes for perfect, uncomplicated, comfort food. Sizes are huge, so tomorrow's lunch is covered. My fav, house salad with secret sauce!
Food was good. Service was good. Prices were incredible. Truly a nice experience, nothing fancy but very enjoyable. Glad we tried it and we will be back!

Oh soo good. No signage outside. Loosey is their take on the Big Mac. Love the bulgogi Philly cheesesteak. Great cocktails and drinks as well!
So good, like comfort food. I love the palak paneer and the butter chicken, both with saffron rice.
Amazing food and very authentic! I was pleasantly surprised by the tandoori chicken & the paneer makhani. The naan was so soft and delicious, and so was the aloo kulcha. Would definitely go again!
