Wonderful, courteous staff
Every bit as good as the mothership in Boise. The Bourgeois is a must - you won't even want the tasty dipping sauces.
Always something to do here, year round. A visit to Mill Ends Park is always a light-hearted break.
The gluten-free pastry doesn't make you miss butter and cream, but they murder it with sugar
Expect what looks like a slider; it's a quarter of a pound but it goes up not out. Good taste - especially like the spicy ketchup.
Have the Great Balls of Fire at the end of the meal, as you won't be able to taste anything afterwards.
As frightening as the peanut butter, bacon and pickle burger sounds, it works perfectly. A must-try.
Get the halibut collars - the only thing they do here is fish and chips, so don't expect your fish broiled, baked or otherwise cooked.
Impressive architecture under the bridge span - outside of that, a nice place for a walk or picnic.
I had and recommend their moon cakes (although they do not have the salted duck yolks) and the licorice tea
The founder is from North Carolina and the biscuits and other dishes are as authentic as you'd want, with a few added embellishments. I recommend the Reggie, even for breakfast.
Often overlooked, don't forget to check out Babe's hooves across the street from where Paul Bunyan stands
Smoked meat sandwich is great, but their poutine is the most authentic in Southern California
