Established in Beaumont in 1980, Buu Mon Buddhist Temple moved to Port Arthur in 1986. It features a 7 foot tall gilt bronze Buddha & is known for its many varieties of lotus, water lilies, & bamboo.
Established in 1927, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church is home to a 17 foot statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe & a 7 foot statue of St. Juan Diego. Both sit atop stones brought from Mount Tepeyac.
On church grounds, sits the Queen of Peace Shrine. A statue of the Virgin Mary, it's three times life size & surrounded by a beautiful garden.
Dedicated in 1912 & featuring the only opalescent glass dome in the country, the First Presbyterian Church was also one of the earliest air-conditioned buildings in the U.S.
