The coolest. Art museum right on first floor of hotel. Best mixed drink I've ever had: gin and house-made tonic, none of that quinine overkill, more of that fresh ginger snap. Food: simply great.
Small batch vodka of the highest quality made right in Ferndale. Has great texture and flavor like a fine spirit should. Get it on the rocks at their tasting room. Go Detroit.
Fine dining. The best sweetbreads I've ever had. Of course the wine list is extensive.
CEO martini. Chopin dirty with stuffed olives. Not cheap. But how many martinis are you going to drink anyway?
Appetizer: Marrow served on the half bone, premium salt, parsley, garlic and pepper, great with earthy Cotes du Rhone type wines: Chateauneuf de Pape, Gigondas or Languedoc red.
