This is the first lighthouse established by the new territorial American Government in 1824. During WWII the Coast Guard trained in St. Augustine & used the lighthouse as a lookout for enemy vessels.
An absolute MUST see if in St Augustine! Plan to spend 3+ hours in there! Also, DO NOT eat before going, there are quite a few exhibits that might induce vomiting in the weak stomached.
Go to the fort at night and be prepared to get spooked. There is something otherwordly there and it is impossible to put into words.

I walked down the street and touched the outside walls of the foundation. You can tell that it's an old house, it was built between 1803 and 1817. St. Augustine was founded in 1565!

This attraction was created by Luella Day McConnell in 1904, & was named after the Spanish explorer Ponce De Leon. It is said that anyone who drinks from the Fountain would have their youth restored.

Excellent bartenders and service. Not to be missed for a perfect martini with blue cheese olives and a beautiful water front view. Great people watching spot.

Take the tour and see the marvels of the old Ponce de Leon Hotel. The tours run daily at 10:00 and 2:00.

Fun little place to have a party. Was here for a wedding reception. Service was amazing, food was wonderful, and a good time was had by all.
