Excellent salad bar!
Loved the cassoulet and carrots, and my Unlitro, Ampeleia was so tasty! I'll definitely be coming back. I really like the casual/romantic vibe I felt here.
Spinach salad with crab and fried Apalachicola oysters was perfection!
Lived in NYC for 12 years, & when I come to town to visit my parents Fat's is the only place where I HAVE to eat. Favorite dish: Alfonso's Mussels and Beans. Just like a dish I had in Luca, Tuscany!
It was a little loud here, so there was no zen with my sushi. But, the fish was great, and their miso soup was the best I've had. Actually flavorful, and not just murky seaweed water!
Tacos are massive...and some of the best I've ever had! Ditto for the secret micheladas...shhhhhhh.
I never get tired of their fish tacos and micheladas! Spicy mussels/Mexican corn/chopped salad also great. Outdoor seating is especially lovely when the weather is nice.
Turn the menu over...they also have hot pressed SAMICHES! All very good.
Maybe the 2nd best pool table in the 'hood (1st is Brooklyn Inn). Sometimes the regulars are nice, sometimes they're not.
BYOB! If I lived in LA, this would be a regular spot for me. I loved the staff & the sushi/sashimi was great & fresh - not to mention inventive. FYI the Pancho Villa roll isn't as spicy as advertised.
LOVED the kale salad (it's side portion size) and the Market Fish was an amazing sea bass. We also had the chicken burger - was dry (like most chicken burgers), but the fries were awesome.
Fish tacos were amazing! They don't serve beer, so byob.
My favorites: the crostini w/ricotta & spinach (simple but comforting), pea shoot app (shit yeah), and the mezze maniche pasta w/spicy pork sausage (rocked my world).
Everything we ordered was simply amazing. Apps: Larb (my favorite) & Chinese watercress salad (both w/chicken). Entrees: Beef Drunken Noodle & Chicken Red Curry. (Not very original, but soooo good.)
Definitely the best pool table in the neighborhood. I would know!
