Try the green chili and cheese tots. They will blow your mind.
Precious: 3.5 stars. Probably the most depressing movie ever, but somehow I still love it. Incredible acting. There's even an cameo of Mariah Carey & even SHE is a great actor. Bring tissues. No lie.
Alice in Wonderland: 2.5 stars. I think Tim Burton and Johnny Depp keep getting weirder. But the visuals are incredible. The plot was weird. I actually believe this is the sequel plot... but whatever.
Clash of the Titans:1.5 stars. The only thing that made this ok to sit through was watching it after From Paris with Love, which is horrible. This is slightly less bad, but entertaining if desperate.
Invictus: 3 stars. Great flick with incredible acting. Can be slow in parts, but well-done, inspiring plot without being over-the-top. Oh and Matt Damon. Yep.
The Road: 2.5 stars. Not a movie to watch if feeling low, but very well-done. Did the book justice, minus a few typical Hollywood changes. But you may want to watch Free Willy after to cheer up.
Crazy Heart: 3 stars. Really well done. It's no Big Lebowski, but Jeff Bridges was amazing. It is a bit slow in parts and I did find myself searching for "The Dude" a few times, but overall very good.
Brooklyn's Finest: 3.5 stars. Very reminiscent of Training Day... mixed with Crash. But hey, I like those movies so I'm sold! Awesome plot. Awesome acting. Lots of twists and turns. I recommend it.
Sherlock Holmes: 1.5 stars. Interesting plot, which appeared well-done. Yet somehow I fell asleep quicker watching this than ever before. If you are out of Ambien, pop this in. It should do the trick.
From Paris with Love: Can I give negative stars? Seriously one of the worst movies I've seen. It was so bad I wondered if it was suppose to be funny and I missed something. Not worth the dollar.
Hot Tub Time Machine: 3 stars. Way better than I anticipated. Surprisingly humorous, like Forgetting Sara Marshall. Stupid plot? Yes. Provides an evening chuckle? Indeed. Possibly even sober. I know.
The Blind Side: 4 stars. Fantastic movie with a heartwarming plot, without being too girly. Sandra was amazing. My husband even liked, maybe b/c it was about football? Either way, definitely see it
Up in the Air: 2.5 stars. Well done, but was pretty slow. I did still like it, but it put my husband to sleep. You may want to watch alone. And George Clooney looked good, even when firing people.
Zombieland: 3 stars. Not as funny as my husband claimed, but was pretty humorous, even with all the guts. I'm not a zombie movie fan, but actually did like this. Worth watching.
Surrogates: 3 stars. I had surprisingly never heard of, but really enjoyed. Innovative plot, great acting, & overall, very entertaining. I really recommend. And it's Bruce Willis. Need I say more?
Iron Man 2: 3.5 stars. Good movie, great action, very entertaining, but... seemed very similar to the first one. Still worth watching. And Robert Downey Jr. doesn't hurt :)
The Book of Eli: 3.5 stars. Like The Road on testosterone. Denzel is a bad ass. Again, not a feel-good-flick, but really well done. If you want an end of the world flick, I prefer this to The Road
Somehow traffic is always piled up here in the mornings... It's as if people have never driven up a hill before. Mind blowing.
