Had an uni craving - the live uni hit the spot.
Contrary to other reviews - we got great service on a busy Fri. We were in a rush and they were very accommodating. Food was good. However, if you are staying here, You can hear the live music clearly
Jeff B left a very accurate tip. This was an on-going theme during the climb. Toe to nipple, and take it slow/safe! It's beautiful.
The clam chowder and fried platters were good (scallops!). The fish chowder and lobster roll were absolute misses. The lobster was chewy & did not taste fresh. 👎
During the weekday, getting here before 5:30 will be fine for a party of 2. Party of 4 will depend on your luck. We didn't have to wait but it's worth a 2 hour wait! Clams w linguine and black ink FTW
The duck is yums and you can take the bones home too! The 担担面 (dandan mian) isn't traditional - it's just a peanut sauce. The 水煮鱼 （spicy fish hot pot) wasn't bad, but not spicy.
Byob. No line when it opens. Not as good as la barbecue or franklin though.
Some tip said "best chicken in Amsterdam" and we didn't think much of it... But we ordered it and OMG#nomnom. It's amazing! （even compared to the brick chicken from NYC - nomad, run for it!)
Served stale / not fresh shrimp chips. And frozen vegetables too. Avoid !
Security is rude - not a good representation of hospitality in the us. I'm embarrassed.
Interesting that it's a Michelin star place... If you pay in cash they'll knock money off your bill
Fod d was yum - be ready to spend a lot of time there (slow service)
We were blown away by 50% of the dishes we ordered - heirloom beet salad, bone marrow/escargot, and the black garlic pasta w cheek. Do yourself a favor, and skip the prime rib. Service was slow.
Gate agents are sometimes over cautious about overhead space... There were like 5 bins completely empty...
Sat around for 10 minutes with the server walking by me 3 times saying he'd be there with me.
At 7:50... With pizzas sitting out, they said no pizza... Terrible
Breakfast is included, which is nice! Nothing warm, but gets the day going. There's a kitchen in the guesthouses, if you want to cook. Just don't forget a bottle of wine. Shared bathrooms, but NBD.
