A seasonal favorite: pumpkin spice hot chocolate. Looking for a refreshing treat instead? Try the pumpkin spice ice cream (top it with with 75% chocolate sprinkles). Both are divine!

Not only are the hot beverages fantastic (my go-to is a European style sipping chocolate:65%, half water, half milk), but the space is warm and inviting, and the staff, as friendly as can be.

My favorites: Dave's tempeh, Baba's dolmas, Tenerelli's peaches, the gorgeous lettuces immediately next to it, the mushrooms across, and the 3 for $5 avocados (so rich they remind me of egg yolks)

The cafe is a mess, maybe because they will only give you a napkin with your cupcake if you sit down. Granted, they were very busy fulfilling orders. So not a particularly nice spot to linger in.

The Carne Asada was dry and scarce: my sandwich was mostly lettuce! They must have forgotten the pico de gallo. Try the Mojito (a bit on the sweet side) or Ahogada (spicy!) instead.

My favorite Nam Prik Oom in the city (though by no means the spiciest). The Northern Pork Curry is sweet and super gingery; one of my favorite versions. And the server is so friendly and sweet!

They have a deli case with beverages like mint lemonade and "freshly-squeezed orange juice" in to-go cups. It may not matter to most, but be forewarned: it is NOT fresh-squeezed oj (and still $3.75).

Fantastic cast-iron natural half-chicken; so full of flavor. The warm corn bread with whipped honey butter is out of this world. Too bad about the watered -down drinks and slow service.
