My top picks: pulled pork, mac & cheese, hushpuppies and collards all insane. Tough to go wrong here though.

Take this trail to or from the outer loop canyons. The stairs are in rough shape, but the rest of the trail is well maintained.

Glacial formations here are really pretty and make for interesting shifts in terrain. Easy to moderate hikes on this trail, but didn't see a lot of other hikers, so be safe. Really lovely in fall.

A diamond of a national park. Hike out to Ooh-Ah point and say hi to lots of pack mules hiking up the steep canyon! Bring plenty of water, a compass, maps, and snacks and don't forget a hat.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been- plan for more time than you think here, because you'll probably want to stay. I like it best when one end is cloudy and another is sunny- beautiful.

      • Chicago, United States

Decent doughnut joint, but seems aimed towards tourists. Less authentic than some places in Chicagoland like Dat Donut, Kay's in Forest Park, Huck Finn, or Old Fashioned. This place is decent though.

Seriously good stuff here- order a pourover single origin if they have it in stock, and skip the condiment bar. Smooth, fruity, and perfect. Love the decor in here too, great rugs and local feel.

Probably the best coffee in Indianapolis- can't go wrong with a handbrewed order, try the Chemex method for a clean and crisp coffee. You should probably pick up some of their beans while you're here.

In the summer, Stumptown coldbrew is on tap. Potent and tasty. In other season, have yourself a pourover or a chemex, freshly brewed. This place is unpretentious and chill, so so good.
