IGDA Finland GatheringBar • Helsinki, Finland
Come early or you'll miss the drink tickets!
Ordered and paid, and the waiter came around asking three times what I ordered. Felt really confusing. Food was good, anyway.
If you want to sit down and actually eat at the restaurant, avoid the main Finnish lunch hours (11:00 - 12:30). After 13:00 the place is basically empty.
Avoid the curry tonkatsu on Thursday's lunch menu, the sauce is not nice at all. On Thursdays, go for teriyaki salmon instead!
Buffet lunch - Finnish home-style cooking with a Louisiana twist!
Excellent service at lunch time - green tea and miso soup are served even before you've completed your order!
Don't eat just sushi for lunch - try tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlets) from the lunch menu!
Best salad buffet in Helsinki - choose six ingredients and dressing for 10 EUR!
The fried noodles are one of the top delicacies of the menu. Too bad the restaurant too many times has families with screaming children as customers...
Stockmann Herkku is the best place to find all the food you thought never even existed.
Try the Mile Wide Sandwich - biggest club sandwich in town!
In the evenings it's almost impossible to find a seat to sit, and if you do, it's also impossible to move between chairs unless you're skinny like a supermodel. Also, watch out for stairs when drunk!
Jättiburgeri (noin 10 euroa) on iso ja taatusti hintaansa täyttävämpi!
