It is really a magnificent place! As I have seen it again after almost 20 years it hit me again with its greatness. For photographers maybe the best light is in the late afternoon

Expect long lines to get tickets & to get in - but it's well worth it! Great views of Athens itself & a wonderful archeological site.

If it's cool down below, bring a wind breaker. The wind on top is no joke. The rocks can be slippery too. Be careful.

Hot, slippery, full of tourists. But it's an obligated visit when first time in Athens. Lots of history. Always pay for a guided tour.

It's the Acropolis. It's big. It's old. It's got history. It's amazing. Go to the Acropolis museum afterwards to get the full story.

It's cool, but knowing most of the surviving architectural details now reside in the Acropolis Museum makes it less cool.

This is a must see place in Athens. Beautiful ruins, but the view from the top alone is worth the money. It's very slippery though, so wear good flat shoes!

If you weren't a misanthropist when you arrived, you will be by the time you leave. It's obscenely crowded, most ruins are either fenced off or under renovation, and did I mention it's crowded?
