Tourist ticket is now at 40 baht for a single trip. All day ticket is 150 baht. So if you're thinking of using this service more than 4 times, get the all day ticket!

If you don't mind traveling with local people and can deal with some crowds during the peak hours, jump on on the express boats instead of the tourist boat. It's cheaper, and more local!

Check if your stop is one of those express shuttle stops from the poster. Saves a lot of time compared to the tourist shuttle that stops every stop and with long queue. u can buy tickets on the boat.

Avoid the cost of a taxi & potential scams with Tuk-Tuks and take the BTS to Saphan Taksin station. Follow the signs to the ferry & take the orange line for 14 Baht to the heart of Bangkok. Voila!

Don't be fooled by those sellers who try to sell you the Chao Phraya Tourist Boat as the ticket prices are much more expensive at 40 Baht / 150 Baht compared to those Express Boats.
