Free wi-fi and plenty of charging stations for laptops at the gate. Not many breakfast choices early morning past security, eat in the main terminal.

Welcome to Shanghai! If you want an amazing ride, take the MagLev train to/from here and Lonyao Rd. Station. Don't forget to check in on Foursquare from the train if you do xD

Welcome to Shanghai! G-tip: Do visit the Bund at night! Very impressive buildings. Enjoy the various colors of the oriental pearl tower on the opposite side of the Bund.

The lounge is too crowded, the wi-fi never seems to work properly, the reading material is limited, and the food is horrible. The restrooms however are clean with high-tech toilets

Forget about burger king and pizza hut spend a tiny little more and go Ajisen ramen at terminal 2, fresh cooked noodles, rice sets. Much better value and taste

    DJ Stanley · October 11, 2010

I always take the time to stop at the Burger King there (terminal 2, near South Passage). It's simply the best in China!

Get a foot rub and massage before boarding. The massage center is in Terminal 1, before immigration. A bit hard to find, look for signs

Seems like the airport been there for a long time, but still hold the same modernity as other Chinese airports

    Jessica Setiawan · May 26, 2010

Don't take taxi! Shuttle bus is much safer, faster and cheaper. Only CNY25/person to downtown.

If your too early to checkin find the bar right next to burger king on the arrival level. Usually empty. Good atmosphere, comfy lounges and a pool table

If you find yourself in need of WiFi, head to Caffè Ritazza near row B of Terminal 2. Good coffee and free WiFi with outlets too!

Must visit: Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the world’s third tallest TV/radio tower (468m). It has double-decker elevators that travel at the rate of 7 m/sec, and appears as pearls shining on a jade plate.

What is the point of having priority with the baby if the trolley comes last, long time after the plane is empty. Word of advice: don't count you'll be first in the taxi line.

Foot and back massage is good, but lots of small hidden extra costs that add up! They're not pushy about it though

Most of the mens bathroom stalls smell like smoke dens and a lot of the toilet seats have cigarette burn marks. Be prepared to come out smelling like a tobacco factory if you choose to go for a #2

Domestic terminal is really bad. Ghetto, just like the rest of China. Inefficient service. The hallway of the gates smells like the toilet. The restaurants and nearby area stink of stale grease.

Chinese people have been treated like cattle for 100 years. Like cattle, those who run, who get somewhere first may get serviced. No respect. They push, run... Just push back, harder! You'll be fine!
