Decent omakase, but not worth a 1.5-hour wait, nor the feeling of being rushed through the meal and out the door the minute it's over.

Mediocre sushi (some were even salty) and chef kept rushing us. Chef kept shoving sushi on our plates despite not ready for the next. Skip this place and just go to Sushi Dai. It’s worth the wait!
  • Yuri R.
This place is usually less busy than other popular sushi spots, but equally as good. Omakase is a great value. The tuna is amazing!

The sushi was great as expected. It was just really busy and felt really rushed to eat so not going back anytime soon

Don’t over complicate things. Get the Omakase. Well worth the wait. Time it after you visit the Tsukiji Fish Market.

Get the omakase. It's worth it. If you're coming from the outer market, go inside past the ice cream shop, around the corner to the right, and deep inside the inner market. In the middle of Bldg 6.

Only an hour wait on a weekday (arrived 9:30 AM). Excellent value omakase though the sushi construction was sloppy. Everything was super fresh but obviously not the market's premium goods.

Arrived around 5:30 and was seated by 6:15. Get the omakase but make sure to try the scallop, sea bream, and clam if you have space for more.

Fresh sushi, but be prepared for at least 45mins waiting time. Always crowded! Also, check the Tsukiji Market website to make sure they're open.

Best sushi I have had. Get the omakase and be prepared to have your mind blown. Long lines but move quick. You'll be done in 20 minutes so savor it.

We showed up at 6am, waited 45 mins and had the best sushi OF OUR LIVES! Make friends in line, enjoy the experience and go for seconds on the tuna. It's out of this world.

If you come in a group, you can designate one person to stand in line. If you come solo, you might get lucky and skip the line if a single seat opens up.

Best sushi ever tried and prepared in front of you. The place was closing so they asked us to speed up. Quite expensive, we paid around 70€ for 2 people.

Because of I'm Japanese, I really prefer REAL sushi. I don't much like "Uni" and shellfishes but these are totally different here! I love all of sushi here!!! Amazing taste!!! love "Shirako"😍

Tried to go to Sushi Dai but got shut down because we arrived later in the day around 1pm. Best mistake ever as Daiwa turned out to be the tastiest sushi I've ever had and chef was so sweet.

Very good sushi. Certainly the freshest I've ever eaten. Also a first eating sushi at 7am. Very long queue. I'd say the sushi next door with half the queue is as fresh. They have two set menus.

The chef's special was absolutely delicious. Our chef was personable and entertaining. Each piece of sushi melted in our mouths, and left us craving for more. My favs were the uni and medium-fatt tuna

Daiwa is one of the best, if not, the best sushi outlet in Tsukiji Market. Be prepared to queue for ages, and dine in cramped spaces, but you'll get the freshest, sweet and delectable morsels ever!

The line is long, so get here early (5-6am). Next door to the busier Sushi Dai, find Daiwa behind red curtains. Mind the line monitor, and order omakase. Worth the wait - the sushi is sublime.

Worth the wait. Chu toro was the best I've ever had anywhere. Same for the uni and aji (horse mackerel). Order omakase, but feel free to follow up with individual selections.

Everyone will tell you it's "the best sushi they've had in their entire life!" & they're right. Go earlier than you think you need to go. ASK SOMEONE to make sure you're standing in the right line.

This really is the best sushi I've ever had by far. The fatty toro is incredible and the rice they make is perfect. We arrived at 6:30 am and there an hour wait. It was worth it. I wish I was back.

I don't even LOVE sushi but the freshness and texture of fish here cannot be denied. If hungry, go for omakase, but highlights are medium fatty tuna, Tamago (!), uni (non uni lover), horse mackerel

The nirigi sushis are made way too hastily and the rice balls are too large and loosely packed. I would avoid this place.
