    The side palaces toward the back are the best parts. Be careful as foreigners... people that come here can be really pushy and rude. Also, you need to buy tickets ahead of time on wechat

    Bring water! A place of historical importance to the country. Great views, Unfortunately it is very crowded during the day and you can't enter the historic buildings for obvious reasons.

    I was extremely disappointed. This was my third time here. It was so crowded that everything was blocked off and you were only allowed to peer inside. Make sure you come early to beat the crowds.

    My tip goes for the families with kids. The forbidden city is not exactly stroller friendly but it is doable with a lightweight stroller. Buy tickets in advance and bring snacks for your little ones.

    After you finish, take a right and walk to the end of the street. Pay a rickshaw 30 yuan to drive you to the front (Tiananmen Square) so that you can take the subway. Impossible to get a cab after

    A must to do in Beijing. Even the sync of audio guide is not perfect, still worths to buy for around 40 yuan. Btw, you can't visit all rooms, saloons etc.. recommended.

    Expect huge crowds during weekends, however everything runs smooth. Getting a ticket will take you arround half an hour (60 rmb/ person). During hot season getting some shadow might be a problem...

    Since April 1, 2013, the Forbidden City will close after 1200 on Monday (stop selling ticket at 1100) during the whole year, except the Summer Season (July 1 to August 31) and National Holidays.

    It is massive! Price about 40RMB. Once you see one palace you see everything, just keep walking and walking and walking... On a clear day get to the mountain for 2RMB and take stunning pictures!

    Built during the Ming Dynasty, the Forbidden City's crimson pavilions will take a couple of hours to walk around at least. Climb up the hill at Jingshan Park for a good view of the city.

    Wander around the edges of the city to find tourist-free rooms of scrolls, furniture, etc! But don't wander too far - I was escorted out for going beyond (untranslated) 'No Entry' signs.

    Emperors lived here for more nearly 500 years! The most impressive collection exhibited are the ancient ceramic and Jade pieces. Entrance fees: 40RMB on Nov 1 - Mar 31, and 60rmb on Apr 1 - Oct 31.

    Билеты продаются только при придъявлении паспорта. Но покупать их нет смысла - внутрь дворца все равно не пустят, только чуть дальше внутрь двора. Бесплатно можно увидеть все необходимое)

    Contratar a un buen guía. Vale la pena por la historia. Y por que casi nadie habla inglés u otro idioma y las instrucciones para compra de boletos y ubicación son muy confusas para turistas.

    Очень красиво, много народу, возьмите с собой защиту от солнца. Есть аудио гид на русском. Пройти дворец можно на сквозь и выйти к саду, т.ч. в обратную сторону идти не обязательно.
