People tend to check in during these times:
Its the busiest crossing in the world.. The record says more than 2000 pedestrians are using that crossings in Shibuya each time the redlights during peak hours.
Ginza line is pretty hard to find. Go into the Tokyu building at the entrance nearest to the JR Hachiko exit, go up the stairs on the left, to the third floor, ginza line entrance is there
See organized chaos in the Shibuya Station. Wait until all the traffic lights turn red—and see throngs of people walk in different directions. A great scene capturing the essence of modern Tokyo.
As of 2013-3-16, Tōkyū Tōyoko Line's Shibuya terminal has gone underground connecting directly into Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line's Shibuya station. It's all underground so be prepared.
My Fav Train is Saikyosen at New Platform(new south ent). Take 6 min to Shinjuku. It will stop at Ikebukuro. The other way u can go 2 Yokohama and Shonan beach really quick.
A crowded station, but worth it for those wanting to take a look at the Hachiko statue, a memorial to the touching story of a canine companion that has since become a famous meeting place for all.
If you have bought a #Pasmo card remember to get a refund after your last trip - you'll get back deposit (¥500) plus whatever you have left on the card. Worth it.
If you need a place to store your big bags you can find big lockers for 600 yen a day, and smaller ones for 300 yen. Just ask the JR personnel where to find them.
This station is always busy keep your head down and walk straight ahead don't make eye contact if you do it's all over you will walking in circles. Exciting station.
on the yamanote line, stay in the 2nd from the last car (ebisu bound) and the 2nd from the front car (shinjuku bound) to get to exit closest to Shibuya crossing, the big intersection seen in movies.
Not well signed at all. Double check you're exiting at the correct exit. Some good shops available, and nice for people watching.
huge and possibly confusing. take your time and look at the signs and maps. elevators and escalators to most platforms
Can't they just have ONE freaking map that includes everything!!!!!!! It is RETARDED to find transfer between JR, Metro and Tokyu's lines!!!!!!!
If Times Square had a big brother, it would probably look like this. Put it this way: Think of Times Square + Las Vegas + Hollywood/Vine. You get the picture.
Passmo is anti-pass back.. You cannot check in and out at the same stations (would have been useful for shortcuts).
Avoiding it?? Who goes to stations for the 'enjoyment' value? You go to stations because you want get to a place. And Shibuya rocks.
If transferring to the eastbound Tozai line from the Ginza line at Nihonbashi, sit near the first two doors of the first car.
If you're looking for Ginza subway, it's on the THIRD floor! Not too well signed either.
Best place for a great variety of restaurants and malls in Tokyo.
picture-perfect view of this famous junction - 3rd level pedestrian linkway from station to Mark City. get ready your cameras!
the rail map is really not that complicated.. ✌🚆 and they do speak english..they are just shy.. 🎌👌😉
One of the dungeon station in Tokyo! Be careful to follow the sign when you take train except JR.
You guys have to go and find the Bruce lee doppelgänger! He's out there you just have to open your eyes. No pun intended.
Try not to let your raging erection show amid the sea of microskirts, stockings, suspenders and stilettos.
If a guy is staring at you when you are waiting at Hachiko, ask him if his name is Hide..
Very crowded place, mostly youngsters... A walk is a must!
Oh what a crowded station! Take out your Apple device and ...let the music play! 良い旅行
FUCK HACHIKO! And BOOKS. THIS IS WHERE ALL THE BITCHES ARE! GET YOUR PICK-UP GAME DIAMOND SHARP YOU WILL NEED IT.
Nice place for Shopping in Tokyo indeed!
I might as well get in the platform to see the trains more clearly. There are too many ppl getting on and off the trains!
Pound as much lager as u can till u cant stand any more then sleep next to hatchi the dog.
Crowded place. The busiest crossroad in the world.
Do I still need to mention the iconic scramble crossing just outside? I do. Yes I doooo.
Visited here for more than 5 times. Well connected with all the places :)
Hachi dog is @ the West exit, but I still have trouble finding it even when I'm sober.
A crowded and relatively ugly station. Recommend avoiding it.
Day spot for dream walking and breakneck living. Night spot for blade running, fashion and love hotel crashing.
Worth the crowds; from here you can essentially access almost anywhere in Japan.
Shinsei Bank closed the branch, including ATM's, next to LABI/Yamada Denki :-(
Nice view of the crossing from Starbucks
Try the sea salt vanilla ice cream. Best dessert downtown!
To avoid the crowds, do not come to shibuya.
Well if you need to sleep I guess shibuya station is a safe spot.
Malls,cafes,and restaurants 👌
Don't forget to have photo taken with the dog statue
Not at a station. (but not far above station from station)
Hachiko statue, where good looking young couples meet.
Crowded as expected but do not miss Hachiko's statue :)
