Spacious, clean airport with plenty of places to recharge your devices. Super fast free wifi that doesn't require login (>40mbps down, >15mbps up!). Starbucks upstairs in departures (before security)!

Their departure hall is so organised and everyone is extremely helpful. More airports around the world should adopt the same kind of hospitality towards travellers.

Long airport layovers are rarely good, but TPE is better than most if that is your fate here. You will find great food options, good duty free whisky, and a skyteam lounge with real food.

My home base. And a very efficient airport given its smaller size compared to HK. Shanghai and Incheon. Better food court after the renovation. Easy link to Taipei city (bus ride under an hour)

China Airline's VIP lounge is near the gate D4. I feel it is the best VIP lounge in the world. You have to experience its food and excellent service by yourself. Then, you will agree with me!

Sun Moon Lake is on the itinerary of every Chinese group tour to Taiwan. This largest body of fresh water in Taiwan is one of the island’s most lovely natural vistas.

Check out the different themes at each gate if you have the time! Food isn't anything to die for. The Internet is really fast in corners where there aren't too many people!

Welcome to the airport in the country with nice people, awesome Asian hospitality, cute women, and little pushing-shoving feelings wherever you go... where US$1 is NT$30, and the dumplings are delish!

Try the basement food court for local food if fastfood isn't your thing. You can also take cheap shuttle bus to taipei from the basement.

Cafe on the D6-D10 side good place to hang while in transit; but seems to only open during daylight. prices are of course a ripoff. be sure to carry a credit card or will need to find some NT$ first.

They have water coolers, bring your empty bottles. If you are connecting, they won't let you bring liquid over but you can drink all of it and then refill once passed the transfer scanning.

Uneventful and efficient airport. When you depart here, you may encounter a brief wait at passport control but generally you will breeze right through this airport.

If you have a carry-on bag that you don't want to lug down two flights of stairs, be prepared to be crammed into a very narrow steel box to get down to your gate. Hope you're not claustrophobic! :)

The food court is good. I wouldn't say that it is huge but the variety is good and the prices are decent. Tastes good as well.

Fast security. No shoes off required. Beef noodle soup on second floor is decent and usually a good last farewell meal on the ground in Taiwan.

This may be my second most frequent visited airport. The custom is quicker than other Taiwan airports and the most modern one. Not enough cafe after custom so you should be prepared for that.

To get to the Telecoms shops in Terminal 1, clear customs, turn left and walk to the end of the terminal. Chunghwa and Taiwan Mobile both have stores there. They both open at 06.00 and close at 21.00
