Lovely temple complex. A must see in Beijing after the forbidden city. Don't forget your free incense on the left as you walk in. Join the locals and offer some to the buddhas!

Come here for a peaceful moment, and mindful reflection. Men step left foot first over the thresholds, ladies step right foot first. If you take photos, only outside - not in any of the buildings.

Get the box of incense and burn 3 at one spot and not everything all at once. The temple goes very deep.

In the hustle and bustle of Beijing, this was a welcomed opportunity to slow down and enjoy the still beauty of the temple. So happy I made the trip.

    1) a must-visit in Beijing, if only for its unbelievable buddha statue made entirely of one single piece of sacred tree; 2) must-go place for prayers; 3) avoid the crowd during national holidays
