Hidden dive spot in the middle of one of the most packed streets in ny (awesome if you are trying to escape the nyu crowd.) Great craft beer, some wine options, and no hard liquor (a plus!) Cash only.

Old school cool NYC. Step below the streets (and away from cell reception) to imbibe in darkness with a knowledgable bartender slinging rare imported beers. Then walk across the street for comedy. Read more

Ever been to the catacombs? This is like it, but better—there’s beer. You enter into a dim, tomb-like underground. The beers are imported and largely monk-made. Ask for a Trappist recommendation.
