People tend to check in during these times:
The 7th St/Metro Center Metro Station, also known as the Julian Dixon Station, serves the Red Line and Purple Line subways, the Blue Line light rail, and the Silver Line bus routes. The main entrance is at Figueroa St. and 7th St. but there are also entrances at 7th and Flower, and 7th and Hope.
There are three exits....figueroa, flower and hope. Be sure to know where to exit!
Exit Figueroa for FigAT7th, Starbucks, E&Y, PwC, and BofA. Exit Flower for CBTL, The Standard, library, and Macy's Plaza. Exit Hope for Bottega Louie, Sugarfish, Chipotle, and FIDM.

It stinks in here!
There's a cop stationed at 7th and Figueroa waiting to catch people who enter the crosswalk once the countdown starts. Avoid getting a jaywalking ticket and just wait for the next walk sign.
You can't check in when you're under the hood.
Board Expo Line on Platform 2.
Make sure you check subway car signs for "red" or "purple", Red=Hollywood and the Valley. Purple = Koreatown and my place.
So many exits. Which is the best for you?
Beware that your cellphone will lose its signal if you're taking the red line since it's underground.
