Very slow and disorganized airport. Many unnecessary and useless security levels. You indeed need more time in advance than usual

Careful: only printed boarding passes are accepted. So even if you're checked in already with a mobile boarding pass, you need to get one printed at check-in, which closes 1 hour before departure.

Remember that you have to fill out exactly the same form when leaving as you did on arrival. Pick up a copy as you leave the airport to save time when you return.

You have to go through passport control again. Make sure you have time for that. Also they only take euros after you go through security unless you want water or a sandwhich.

There is a shop where you can buy a box of typical home-made Moroccan sweets for a reasonable price. Great to take home as a souvenir.

The duty free shops only take Euros or cards, and there are no exchange shops once through security. So if you want to buy anything other than sandwiches, change your Dirham before going through

Make sure you have a printed ticket and fill out your boarding paper. Starbucks and a small Moroccan cafe for food. Illy coffee downstairs. Really cool architecture

Get a SIM card from the carrier Inwi, they have shops downtown. 1GB of prepaid will cost about 10€

Like the Casablanca airport, this airport is solar powered. Notice the solar panels in the roof. Great general architecture.

There are long passport queues BOTH ways in or out. Make sure you have a pen and get the local passport document and fill it in whilst queuing...

When you walk in look for your airline desk on left. Desk 19 on isn't visible from entrance. Don't check bags too early, esp if your airline has another flight that is still accepting bags!

Get a stamp on your printed boarding pass at your check-in desk. Obligatory! Oh and congrats for your new airport. It's beautiful :)

Beautifully renovated airport port! Nothing to do with the old shack that was the old terminal. Security is a breeze and immigration goes pretty fast. One of the best airport on the African continent

Prepare to wait at passport control.... Welcome to Morocco. Things operate a bit slower in North Africa so just embrace it.

The bus is available just outside and leaves you in FNA Square for a much cheaper price than any taxi. Besides It has A/C.

Easyjet note: If you're dropping a bag, Speedy Boarding is a waste of money, since you need to queue at bag drop for a stamp on your boarding pass...

If you fly domestic, make sure you keep your boarding pass - skip the passport control at the right, and just show your Initial country stamp to the guy.

Only 1 currency exchange booth here at baggage claim and the rate is bad for USD, probably same for the others. Get your Dirhams from Casablanca or other airports if possible.

If possible fly BA to London rather than low cost carriers and definitely don't use Royal Air Maroc if you want to arrive on time!

Beside the fact that they don't accept dirhams in the duty free area, there are so many useless security controls. I found it quite disorganized and without sense

They don't update delayed flights... If you're waiting in line for a long time and wonder where the airline people are, check online and your flight is most likely delayed.

Avoid @RyanAirnews at all cost! Poor local service makes the shady practices to make you pay at every turn even worse. How do you like the puke yellow to help you relax once onboard?
