Wow. Absolutely mind blowing African food. Their brunch (best coffee ever) will leave you in a delicious food coma.
1st visit to the former Cellars location since their move from Carlton Avenue years back. Menu has not evolved much, but still tasty.
Get on your plantain campaign.
Just to add. Swapped plates with someone for the catfish. So much better. Worth it.
Don't bother with the fried chicken and pancakes at brunch. Bland and tasteless and not Senegalese influenced. Can get this better pretty much anywhere else. Go with something else. Others happy.
They moved their location to a bigger space. I recommend the Senegalese fried chicken. Also the scented jasmine rice cake is divine. This dish ranks as the top 10 things I've eaten all year.
Drab atmosphere and $28 for Cornish game hen with a bit of spice. Not worth it.
Do yourself a favour - kololo plantains and fried chicken. Trust me!
Super delicious. Had the plantain appetizer, fried chicken, & corn pudding for dessert. I definitely recommend all three! And the ginger margarita! The staff is awesome too!
if they have plantain gnocchi as part of the appetizer specials that night, you MUST order! the senegalese fried chicken is fantastic, don't worry it's not greasy or breaded.. they mean pan-fried :)
Awesome scrambled egg whites.
Everything is seasoned to perfection!
Senegalese Fried Chicken
the green onion grits are FANTASTIC.
Roasted corn soup is fantastic!! As in, like, OMG!
They are now located at 250 DeKalb (Vanderbilt)
Great coffee they put a little cinnamon in it.
Best French toast ever!
They have a full bar now!
Kitchen is really good at cooking fish so that it stays moist with good crusty skin
No liquor...wah! But good sauces on everything. Worth the trip.
The food here is amazing. My favs so far are the lamb shank, salmon, chicken wings, and the plantains. OMG the plantains!
The Sengalese Fried Chicken might just be my new absolute favorite.
