Love the set up and the freshness of the sushi.. But the seating is set for 2 hours and it takes an hour plus for your first order of sushi to get to you.. Great sushi.. But slow service!
My fav sushi place in Cape Town
Everything on the menu is awesome but the Salmon Roses are a MUST TRY!!!! And it's even better with the Nederburg Stein white wine. It's not on the menu though, just ask for it!
Sushi has a LOT of rice. Fish itself is high grade though
Awesome food, excellent service and great atmosphere. All you can eat sushi on R119. Great portion sizes. A must if you're in the area. 11/10

I've tried sushi around the world but salmon roses at Active Sushi in Strand Street Cape Town are by far the best!
Food took well over an hour to get to the table.grumpy waiter = grumpy customer. Avo wasn't ripe. Sashimi slices so thin I could see through it. Too much rice, too little fish. much hype over nothing.
Really feel they are taking the piss, first plate is always great standard and from there on the give you the smallest and worst cuts of sashimi... They had such a good thing going but slacking!
They have great R40, R50 and R60 lunch plates! 18 pieces for R60 is awesome
Ask for the lunch specials menu: 20 pieces of sushi and sashimi for R60
Awesome sushi!! A definite must!
LOVED it!! Great value for money. Happy customer = check!
