Unfortunately when arrived at the airport we spent 2h30 standing in the line for passport check, there were more than 10 offices but only 2 were working. A bad reception for tourists.

Barcelona's Airport! Terminal 1 is huge and the duty free section is basically like a mall!!!

Tax Free is different than Global Blue. Go near Checkin station 1 for Customs, get a stamp in the receipt + paperwork from the store, then visit the tax free station after security near gates U36.

Please ignore Dehesa Santa Maria cafe (on departure zone). Food quality is awful here. It does not look fresh and tastes bad.

If you have tax free paper. Make sure you stamp them before passport control; otherwise you can not collect your money. The whole set up is done purposely to not give your money back. #shady #sneaky

Spacious and with several shops. Cons: bathrooms are a mess on the ground floor, and wifi never works properly.
  • Karla C.
Such a nice airport. Stores open at 6 am! You can find whatervee you missed!
  • Abdullah A.
The shops are not duty free, and you have to do your last minute shopping BEFORE you finish passport control.
  • Ankur B.
As of July 2016, the free WiFi signin page by the airport doesn't accept dashes (and possibly other special characters) in an email address when trying to connect to wifi.

Coffee open at 6am in T2. If you are hungry and you have an early morning flight there are just some self-service machines

Don't believe the "free unlimited wifi" ad. It's free but it is enough only for email. You have to pay to unlock full speed

Do not accept any other currency except euro during tax free reimbursement. FX rate they offer in this case is usually far from the market level. In this office they tried to do it!
  • Veerle D.
big airport, separated into 2 areas, make sure to check if you have to go to terminal 1 OR 2!
  • Teodora L.
Great open space of various shops, which you can access both via arrivals and departures. Lots of cafes as well. One of my favorite airports.

It's a mall that happens to have some air traffic going through it, not that that's a bad thing, enjoy the walks to and from the gates!

Careful! Some airlines namely Ryanair will not share with you what Terminal flight is from. In Terminal are only flight for this terminal. So don't get confused and ask if you don't see your flight.

If have time DON'T go through passport control straight after security when going to gate D. Instead go downstairs for lovely outside area with a Costa cafe and also much more shops/food choices.

The duty free shops are in the middle of the path to the exit. You can cut through the middle to get to the exit faster.

Gördüğüm havaalanları içerisinde en iyilerinden biriydi. Alışveriş için uygun. Especially Barcelona Airport very well. You can buy good things when you go shopping. People were polite. I'll come again

Worst luggage waiting time ever! 20 minutes and counting. Would prefer spending time in BCN rather to waiting in this terminal!

If you fly outside Shengen, you are better to do shopping before the security check. Once passed, there is no way back and there is only one shop.
