2013 3rd busiest Italian Airport and still expending to a 3rd runaway. Now they only need to get the free trolley and free WiFi sorted to elevate to a better service.

Its the best airport, but traveling from here to Venice isn't cheap. The best option is to take the bus boat there. However, it'll take a little over an hour to get to town centre buy the bus boat.

Basilica San Marco in Venice is a beautiful Byzantine structure that is decorated throughout with some of the finest mosaics and art work in the world. A must see for every visitor!

There's a stand of The Merchant of Venice perfumes at the souvenir shop in the duty free area. Great perfumes! Nice shopping assistant. And you can buy a kit to compose perfumes yourself! Big like :)

A 33cl bottle of water on ground floor (floor 0) is €2.40, on the 1st floor it's €2.10. On the ground floor vending machine it's €1 (if it works). On the 2nd floor vending machine, it's €0.35!!!

It is a 10 minute walk over uneven ground to the water bus/water taxi. Use a luggage trolley for an easier trip to the dock. Water bus is 15 Euros. Private water taxi is 120 Euro.

Is not easy to get the stairs or elevators they are very crowded! Airlines do not accept you to get inside unless you have 3 hours close to your flight!! Is insane. It's kind of a chaos

The waterbus will take you into the city. Good to know: Google Maps knows this too so you can plan your itineary with it. Also, buy tickets online to save time & money.

Buses cost 6 euros whatever your destination. Make sure you don't buy the ticket from actv. It takes 45 minutes to go to Mestre train station vs 15 minutes with atvo for the same price

Give yourself some time when departing. Keep in mind, security is tight quarters. Additionally, people here don't mind cutting you off in line.

A nice trick to charge your phone at this airport is to use the USB ports of the computers for paid Internet access. Look for the ones with a little red light. Otherwise it won't work.

Some comments about this airport are seriously out of date. May 2014 there is plenty of shopping (mainly high end brand, including a Ducati outlet) and wifi is available.

Rude cashiers @pizza restaurant on the 1st floor. Bought a water for €2.30 w/ a €5 note & got 13x€0.20 + 1x€0.10 in change. I asked for a €2 coin but she said no & told me to get it changed @ machine!

If you arrived too early, you can easily find a seat in the arrivals area (on the ground floor; it's on the left side if you enter the building from the bus station).

Small but still efficient, well organized and passenger friendly. Could be very busy at certain times of the year. 20 min away from the central station.

Completly not acceptable since low costs arrived here... Too much people, loud, long waiting for eveything... Mixed low and regular costs flight zone... It's a pity 'cause the airport itself is nice

Are you flying internationally? Make sure to eat in the area between security screening and passport check. Once you reach the gate you'll find only quick bites and coffee.

Worst airport! You need internet yourself to access WiFi you bought. Lady's toilet only has 2 seats but three hand dryers. Lack of seats and almost no air conditioning. Priority seats are 90°.

Embrace yourself, the waiting is coming. Buses for Venice each hour, no ferry connection and an overwhelmed car park make it one of the worst airport in continental Europe.
