El aeropuerto de Madrid - Barajas es uno de los principales puntos de entrada de turistas en España. Su corta distancia con el núcleo urbano, le convierte en una pieza fundamental de nuestro sistema turístico. .
Modern and well organised!
Don't bother with the supposedly free Wi-Fi. It makes you fill out several forms to register, including one that asks for personal details and your home address to "win" a phone from a fishy sponsor.
Slow. 20 minutes to get out of the plane. 40 minutes for the baggage in the belt. Baggage lost, 40 minutes more waiting. Probably lack of staff amongst others.
Very slow service. Unfriendly staff that do not speak good English. Be very very patient.
distances between gates are very long -> take enough time; lots of shops and possibilities to eat
They only post gate assignments an hour before the flight on the boards. Pretty uncomfortable chairs for waiting
Be mindful about the sign in the screen especially when getting the luggage. This airport is huge! They have terminal 1 to terminal 4. There is a metro That goes to The center and Airport Is free Wi-Fi
Security were abrupt, didn't explain what was happening after people had set the alarms off and one seemed to be confused by my wallet. Wasn't ideal.
Jamon, tapas, illy, lots of walking and shopping.
Modern airport, cozy
This is the worst airport I've ever been to and I've been to a lot. Most important thing is to not buy or rent sim cards from Exactta, they are sneaky thieves (Eur90 for 3GB)
My flight was from the T4 terminal, it is organized very well, everything was all right. But the connection to the wi-fi is very complicated and it is free for 30 minutes only.
Flights to non Schengen countries are all the way at the end of the H gates. Don't tarry. It's a long walk!
The tax free store sells the very cool make-up brand Benefit. They will do your make-up if you ask for it =)
As long as you fly oneworld, all is ok. T4 is very cool, very modern, very expensive
Really, you have to pay for wifi? Only 30 minutes free every 24hours. This is really poor service.
No free wifi.. Dirty toilets.. Small and poor quality..
Don't buy any duty free items here. They close the customs office and you don't get your refund. Annoying scam.
Huge airport. But you can easily navigate even if you are there for the first time. Convenient bus cnnection with Madrid.
Queues at passport control and tax free offices. Free wifi is limited by time. Duty free zone was quite small and disappointing.
Outstanding modern architecture in Terminal 4. Fast queues, very clean and comfortable, lots of shops...
Messed up airport-no good signs to petrol station or car return.I had to do 3 rounds to find proper route to car return.
Free wi-fi is limited to only 1 usage & 30 minutes. So I advice to use your only one access right when returning from Madrid...
free wifi just for 30 min...all other is good , specially metro to the city
Sleeping zone? Departure hall, McDonald & police dept, opposite got hall facing taxiway
Takes forever to get in our out. But nice
Very long linear walk to find eating places. Could do with travelators for speed.
DO NOT BUY DUTY FREE -- the VAT refund office is always closed, slow, out of ink, or has some other reason not to stamp your paperwork. Also true in Barcelona. Spanish VAT refund is a fraud.
The ceilings in happy yellow are a great sunshine thru the full airport!!
4/4S is attractive and airy with high ceilings and good light. There's plenty of seating and IB operates nice lounges with food, free full bar, and showers.
Good services and shopping, efficient and fast handling. A very good airport experience overall
One of the best, you well the warn heat just inside.
Official taxis offer a flat rate from the airport to the city center and back, so don't forget to check with your driver to make sure, because they tend to forget ;-)
If you came by Renfe to Madrid, the ticket for the cercanías train is free ;)
The T4 is simply beautiful. You can get there by cercanías or bus. The metro takes you to the T1. There's a free bus going constantly to all 4 terminals.
WiFi only free for 30 minutes and requires login. :(
Train and metro downstairs.
Very impressive airport. T4 is really amazing & large.
Great airport... Massive.
Excellent views of the surrounding airport
The noodle bar is brilliant, apart from that a typically over large airport for the amount of people/ flight routes coming through... Take note of the walking time to you're gate
Visit Real Madrid Store do not miss the chance
I dont know how to entered the sparrows inside of t1 but they sing a song making me happy :)
People, please be kind with foreigners. They just want to be helped with some information, nothing more.
Very Nice this place
If you like Zara, now is the time to stock up 💝 #homemadeinspain #dutyfree
If you want to say overnight go to T2 at the Ryanair check-in. Quiet, dim light and many outlets. No WiFi in Barajas and it takes a long time to change terminals.
If you travel Ryanair and forget to print your boarding pass, travel agency El Corte Ingles will help your with a charge €10.
