Cancun International Airport (IATA: CUN, ICAO: MMUN) is located in Cancun, Quintana Roo, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. It is Mexico's second busiest airport, after Mexico City International Airport in Mexico City, In 2011, Cancun airport handled 13,022,481 passengers.
The personal of the airport is mostly rude and no polite. Hate this place !
The worst airport in the world ! How can normal people meet friends or family that are arriving if they can't come to arrival zone. There is even no screen to see if the plane is landed.
Shuttles are every 30 minutes and taxi drivers are overly aggressive.
There's more shopping after the duty free area
If you get coffee, buy a large. They don't have lids for small, and you'll dump it all over yourself.
If Julio asks if you want a shoe shine, get it. Great shoe shine for $10 USD including tip.
International Airport, but if you get after 22pm ALL restaurants duty-free and shops closed! Sucks!
This place is the worst.
lovely airport, be prepared for amazing views during take off and landing!
I didn't like this airport at all!! There is no free wifi anywhere, the restaurants are not allowed to have free wifi since they want you to buy the airport wifi.
Nice airport - wonderful business class lounge upstairs for sky club members !!good shopping and reasonable eating choices !
Amazing views of the coastlines of Caribbean Sea & Gulf of Mexico from the sky before touch down
Like walking through a duty-free mall.
No internet connection and no first or business lounge for Air Canada /Star Alliance :( Everything is expensive.
Very clean and efficient airport as far as flights go. Money exchange open at 9am, that's a bummer. Also no Internet connection without cash!
airport is too small for the traffic it handles. In April, Sunday morning at 8 checkin line for Frontier is horrendous. Also be prepared to only know the Gate # one hour before takeoff, all airlines
Pre-arranging ground transportation makes things easier. Lots of options on the ground though when you arrive.
Don't loose the bottom of your one customs/immigration card you fill out when you enter the country!
Don't exchange your money here.
#Cancun #Airport #Cab Welcome home #Marissa
#CancunCab Welcome home!
Airports in other resort destinations should follow this model. Familiar chains + local faves make it easy for everyone. Continuous improvements to infrastructure ensure seamless check-in process too.
Bom free shopping!
If you buy alcohol at the Duty Free, plan on putting it in your checked bag when you get back to the states. The "Cuban" cigars are fake and customs will take them anyway and cause you problems.
Very expensive food / Comida carisima!
Messy, expensive food, no wifi
You can find a good souvenir in duty free second floor 🎁
Wifi next to Starbucks. Long lines and hot while waiting for entry.
When you fly in there is a stub attached to your visa that you have to present upon departure. If you loose it you will pay a fine!
Becareful with the exchange rate it's 15.14 & they are only giving you 12.50. That's a 18% markup!
It's sometimes madly busy and you should be prepared to wait both on arrival and departure so bring a little water and make sure you eat first
Get some food before getting here. Restaurant options are very limited and food is the worst.
Avoid the sales people as you exit trying to sell you timeshares
Fast queues and nicer border protection staff, be prepared to be randomly searched if when prompted to push a button, the red light glows. Usually warm, so grab some light clothes
The airport terminal for Delta is small and was easy to get through. A few places to eat and I loved the Duty Free store. There is a nice gift shop for reasonably priced souvenirs.
Queues to immigration and then customs could be horrendous (up to 2 hours) so if you do have a choice on what time of the day to arrive then definitely choose late evening
There isn't a delta /skyteam lounge in the international terminal.
If you booked an airport transfer keep walking past all the hawkers until you get outside there's where you can find your ride.
Meh.... But nice personal.
There's a food court and a decent sized duty free section. For some reason there's a huge margaritaville and a bubba gump
Has to be the worst airport ever. The 3/4G is non-existent in the waiting halls. The restaurant prices are just crazy. What a bad final impression after a great visit to Playa del Carmen.
Get a mexican souvenir at Pineda Covallin, mexican designers!
Get FRESH with immigration for NO REASON
Skip the Starbucks at the entrance, you'll need to toss your drink before security. There is another Starbucks located past security near the gates. 👍
Surprisingly has one of the best (if not the best) duty free shops I've ever been to.
Avoid the baggage handlers outside in the light blue shirts. Duty free has a great selection of tequila but too many sales people.
Good bye Isla Mujeres - I'll miss you.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
