Best Asam laksa
Average laksa for me. I should look for a better laksa here...
Some say it's the best. I have to agree and disagree. It's among my favourites but it's not at the top spot. Anthony Bourdain loves this on his show, No Reservations.
Do not patronize the sugar cane stall. They are not honest as they charged me price for no ice drink when I requested for less ice. He should have pre warn me.
The assam laksa is indeed quite good compared to KL.But not much fish ingredient. This place is smelly & dirty since it's located outside the wet market & the stall is not very clean.
Due to a family fued , the main chef has flown the nest and joined his daughters shop in Klang . If he held back some secrets it shows. The soup is not as good. Too sweet. No kick.
Super hot!!! But still the best laksa u can find
Laksa Penang, spring rolls and supposedly chakoi.
It might not look decent but it taste great !
One of the best asam laksa I've tasted. The broth is really flavourful.
Delicious Air Itam Laksa after walking down from kek lok si. Opens from 10.30am to 7pm. Crowded....
Super crowded! Best asam laksa in Penang!
Best laksa i think
Best Asam Laksa I ever had. It's a MUST have whenever you are in Penang.
It smells so good but don really taste as good
Not that authentic for me. Too overrated by tourists.
MUST drink sugar cane when u dine here. If not the worker will 'force' you to buy it.

Yummy~ Rm4.50 per bowl
The asam laksa is unforgettable... 😊
Erm.. Not so tasty as last time. Soup not so thick and noodles overcooked-RM4.50
Just ate a bowl of laksa. Disappointing. But d deep fried crispy prawn is good!
Open: 10:30am to 7pm
Penang's famous authentic asam laksa is here in air itam. Lots of fish n absolutely delicious. Must eat it when in Penang.
Extremely fast service. Soup is a bit tasteless though.
So so taste, special for travelers
The best Assam laksa in Penang.60 years in business.
Laurels squashed from being sat on. Needs tissue paper scandal to kick into highest gear.
Very good, but that's a drop from legendary. Peripherals are good with broth being veritable spice garden, with bunga kantan prominent. Tad short of uncontested fishy richness.
Must try out their Asam laksa.
They sure live up to their reputation!
Tasty asam laksa. In previous adventures I've found the laksa leaf to be too strong, but this was delicious.
Penang famed laksa.
Can't really accept the taste of laksa, but this is really yumm!!
Penang authentic laksa! Really the jeng! Please visit on weekdays if possible to avoid long long queue. MYR 4 per bowl by Jan 2015.
Must Try before going up Kek Lok Si
A bowl of yummy laksa + Fresh pressed sugar cane juice = perfect combo :D
The busy #stall
ma' messy bowl of assam laksa but it's so good! Big chunks of fish meat too.
$5 per big bowl now lol. Still as good. Do order the fried spring rolls to go with it. That's because that's the correct way to enjoy this dish
Is normal.. Over rated..
Quite pack for dining. Can go to opposite road nyonya shop to get place to eat.
The best asam laksa
Famous Asam Laksa in Penang. Good taste and many customers.
laksa time ...
Look around who is finishing, stand by to wait. Sit down, order, pay and enjoy. RM4 per serving. It's fast food but nice fast food.
This place was featured in My Penang show on AFC in October 2014. It is quite a busy place.
Not as great as last time.... 20 years ago, but it still tastes great!
It's ok but maybe because I'm bit not a fan of asam laksa
Speechless... You must must must try this if you are in Penang! My all time fav! The taste is damn delicious!
