The Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane is the newest location in Austin, Texas. Located at South MoPac & Slaughter, this theatre has 7 screens & a tequila-themed bar called The 400 Rabbits. It features the best screens & projection money can buy, a top-notch kitchen, and e...
It's got a huuuge parking lot and still NOWHERE TO PARK!
Don't talk, turn your damn phone off, and tip your waiters well!
Love the split tables... Finally I can pee without disturbing the fat lady next to me :)
You should watch a movie.
It's still got that new theater smell.
The menus are under the table, where there is also an unobtrusive little red light so you can see what you're writing during the movie.
Make sure you get there early! The parking lot is big enough but always seems to be full
ALWAYS buy tickets in advance! This place seems to sell out like no other! My boyfriend and I have now been shut out four times in a row, even showing up 45 mins early. Ridiculous.
Great customer service
New all reserved is nice, but know which tables match which seats. All rows start at 1. So the odd number and the even abve it share a table. Watch out for the handicapped rows!!!
Just the tip
*charging* for priority seating at a movie theater is the most ridiculous idea I've ever heard. Will filtered & scented air be next??
Best Alamo in town because of the couples tables. I hate the whole bench thing... Makes for an uncomfortable meal
If you're seeing a movie with a group, carpool!
New menu is overpriced. Eat beforehand.
You can even get a haircut while you watch the movie! Just ask your server.
way better than the drafthouse on s. lamar. there is actually enough parking, they show more movies and its not sold out every stinkin night.
Parking really sucks here
They don't update their website ... So when u show up, they are closed. Had a nice cocktail instead.
The green chili mac is heavenly. Pair with fried pickles. Check it out and try one of their seasonal specials which always rock.
New "leather" seats are comfy! Nice touch, Alamo!
They have seasonal prize winning shakes. Just sayin'.
We actually didn't mind/notice the servers walking around like many others have mentioned. It was cool to go to such a nice, new theater!
Try the Royal with Cheese
Popcorn! Get the popcorn with herbs and cheese!
The building is an elaborate optical illusion. It can actually hold 1,000 more people than there are parking spots outside.
The Bacon, brussels sprout, & goat cheese pizza is my new favorite!!
This Drafthouse has tables for two, instead of one long bar table per row, so keep that in mind when reserving seats or else you'll be sitting at a table with someone else's significant other.
Can somebody let the blue hairs know that there's a light under every table and that they can leave their flashlights at home?
TIP! Tip everyone! Tip your server AND your bartender, they make almost nothing!
This applies to all of them, these places are for people who love movies. They put on special events all the time with special features going on. The food is good too considering it is a movie theater
Best Alamo in Texas, so far. Every new location seems to improve on their standard.
(The menus are underneath the tables, as are the reading lights)
Best place to see a movie! special events & food/drink specials for certain movies. Only complaint is they don't have any BBQ sauce! Otherwise perfect movie going experiences!
Why would you turn the air conditioner off at midnight during a midnight showing??? Come on Alamo let's think about these things!
The loaded chips and queso are great!
Best Alamo Drafthouse in Austin. I would definitely reserve the tickets online because chances are you won't get tickets an hour before the movie if you show up. Love the chips and queso!
Leave a tip. Literally for your server. Alamo in Austin has the best & friendliest service!
The best Alamo!
No more bottled water available.
Always pay n cash
Love this place. Be sure to get here at least 30 mins before to enjoy the pre-show clips :)
Such a nice theater, and no kids! Just on baby day showings.
Expect to park in a fire lane or very far away if you come during prime hours.
You gotta get your tickets early if you're going in a group. Great theatre though.
May as well split a bottle of wine with your date. Because you won't see your waiter again... for a long time.
You'll never want go to a regular theatre ever again. Get the green chile cheese fries!! And a Paloma.
