Have fun (check the other tips to see how) and mind your belongings (pickpockets).
Pretty standard street market with lots of cheap clothes and random nicknacks. Get to sample local Dutch delicacies including herring, nuts, cheese, and desserts like poffertjes.

The place where you can taste all Dutch delicious food - herring, waffles, cheese, chocolate.
Not my fav market in the city but they have a great selection of fruits, teas, spices, cheese, breads, and veggies. Check out the stores on the sidewalk part too.
Awesome market place to eat and buy souvenirs. From the olives stall to the cheeses. Lots to look at. Remember to get an order of mini pancakes. So yummy!!
Veggies, local cheese, fresh fish and waffles. What more do you want?

Nice to have light bites, usual street market
Lively area with lots of choice in bars, coffe shops and restaurants. Cheap prices generally for the Netherlands. Good for fresh flowers, fish, cheap clothing (dearer than Primark!)
Get your nuts at Jan Gotjé, east part of the market. Best nuts I've had and great value.
Don't miss Albert Cuypmarkt if you are in Amsterdam
Take stroll along this street market selling everything from cheese and olives to leather goods. Pop off into one of the many cafés to rest your feet with a beer.
Great for browsing - from cheese to leather and old furniture 😉
The Albert Cuyp Market is not only the biggest daily market in Amsterdam, it is also the biggest open air market in Europe!
When visiting Amsterdam, see some of the many marketplaces. Flowers, cheese, herbs, fresh groceries – there seems to be one market for each item. 11 market places are open all year long. Enjoy!
Great fish-stalls on Saturdays. Wide variety of fish and seafood at good prices.
