Good sandwiches, freshly made.
Easily one of the best Italian sandwich spots in the city.
No nonsense, cash only, but the size and flavor of their sandwiches leaves people coming back for more. And waiting in a sizable line to do so.
Although it's expensive you get an extremely large sandwich!! Love the Alyssa
Romeo is my personal favorite
My favorite sandwich place. Period.
Perfect super authentic Italian place. Transporting experience.
Pinocchio or literally bust
The owner is a truly miserable woman, so just don't expect friendly service. The sandwiches are delicious and worth the trip. Really.
Delicious, huge, classic Italian sandwiches, no coffee, no credit cards, cash only, run by an always angry woman.
Get here around 11:15 and wait until it opens so that you'll be the first in line. Otherwise, expect to wait a while. Best Italian sandwiches in the city, hands down.
Anything with the prosciutto, but know what you want and have cash ready!
Best Italian sandwich place I've been to in NYC.
amazing authentic Italian sandwiches. a great spot for a quick delicious meal if you're sightseeing. I would get it often if I lived nearby too!
Well worth the money. Plenty of great sandwich places in the city, but this place might top them all!
Make sure you know what you want. She's the sandwich/soup lady. She always repeats what your order to the whole place. Hilarious! Great sandwiches.
Know what you want before you get to the front
One of the best sandwich places in the city. Order the Matthew and you won't be disappointed.
The bread is the star here. The menu is intimidating, but it's all the same 6 ingredients over and over so just choose your meat, cheese, and spread/veggie.
I'm so happy a friend told me about this place. But know what you want ahead of time and have cash!
Make damn sure you know what you want and on what bread before you get to the front of the line. They don't mess around with their speedy service. It's a good system, respect it!
They got me hooked. They understand the science of layering a sandwich. My perfect $14 Romeo is worth the trip every time!
Almost through the line? Panicking because you don't have your shit together? Order a Matthew on focaccia.
Great sandwiches. Cash only.
Sinatra - mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, and artichokes. Their portions are HUGE
The sandwiches here are delicious and the portions are pretty generous.
Very good and decent sized sandwiches. Comes with a side of attitude from behind the counter
I want to try other sandwiches but the Matthew on Focaccia is too good
Please bring a friend or two to share one delicious sandwich. They are massive!!
Sandwiches are good and simple. One or two meats, one or two vegetables, one cheese, good bread. A bit too expensive for me though, especially given what you could get at Faicco's
the Matthew is my favorite. amazing sandwiches.
Always a line but worth the wait for great italian deli meats
Oh my. This is one of the best sandwiches. Quality ingredients. Cash only, and pricy. Sandwiches range from $10-$15.
Great sandwiches. Owner isn't particularly welcoming though
Don't expect to be tucked in at night. Order a sandwich off the list, pay cash, and get out. It's not that hard and you won't regret it.
get the pinocchio. you won't regret it.
Pinocchio on focaccia
Best sandwich spot in NYC. Personal favorite is the Matthew on focaccia
Love their sandwich but if you are looking for Donnoli you have to head to their midtown spot -_-
Every sandwich is made to perfection! Alidoro has truly mastered the art of the Italian sandwich. The sandwiches are MONSTERS, you need two hands to hold the sandwich.
Pinocchio in focaccia. A must have.
Marina on semolina
Splurge on the extra $1 for focaccia
On Saturdays, you can get the pizza blanca bread. Delicious on any sandwich.
Probably the best Italian sandwich shop I have ever been to! My personal favorite is Da Vinci, it's a seafood sandwich with sardines.
Sandwiches are amazing. Do everyone in line a favor and know what you want ahead of time. Recommend anything that sounds Italian
Huge sandwiches. One half for you and the other for a friend :)
I vote for Pavarotti on semolina. Veggie options sound yummy too!
