Since 1920, AMC Theatres has delivered the most entertaining movie-going experience in the world. Follow us for exclusive insights, special offers and more!
buy one ticket and spend the day hopping from movie to move cus the staff don't care
The lobby of this luxurious, five-level theater has been built inside the shell of the old Empire Theater. Look up at the murals on the ceiling as you walk inside.
IMAX is fake here -- if you're gonna pay extra, Lincoln Square is the only true IMAX venue in Manhattan
$6 movies before noon
The concession people are morons. Sneak snacks in people!
Avoid the "IMAX" screen. You're better off going to Lincoln Square.
seems like the higher the floor, the more high brow the movie.
With Coke Zero on tap, you can't go wrong. Once you get some, tweet @cokezero and let us know what you're seeing and how the Zero went down.
I HATE Times Square but this is a decent theater.
Love the dyson hand dryers!
Valentines day at the movies is crazy here.
Go early to get a good seat in the middle...
staff doesn't clean up after each movie. theaters are left looking and smelling nasty
Try to get tix ahead of time. Often booked.
IMAX is awful... head to Lincoln Square instead
Don't think u just gonna run to da concession stand to get a quick drink or snack minutes before ur Movie.. Cuz the service is slower than a muthafucka
They turned on the lights towards the end of the 3d movie, people started shouting out to the ceilings "turn off the lights" but nobody answered our prayers. I love the theatre anyway! My homeboy AMC
Ginormous theater that still manages to feel overly crowded. Make sure you get there early as it might be a trek to get to your theater.
The foursquare tips for this venue are pretty informative. Very helpful.
If you're looking for good, non-touristy, pre or post game, 9th ave. Is only a block away. Head up towards the 50's & you'll fimd tons of bars & good grub.
Half price before 12
Elysium is an amazingly good movie with incredible effects. A must see!
Worst IMAX theater of the city. Lincoln Center is the only true certified IMAX theater of the city.
Very Nice Theatre. Excellent Sound. Comfortable Seating. Multiple Screens So Your Movie Is Flexible. One Of My Favorites. Be A Member Of Moviewatcher For Rewards.
Watching great movie at the IMAX theater
Worst theater. The crowds who flock here are beyond rude and don't know how to still sit & keep quiet during a film. Worse theater than Kips Bay claiming to have IMAX.
Regal across the street. Go there!
The elevators will drive you nuts.
Black Swan - a great family movie! Can't wait to take my 13-yr-old and 11-year-old nieces.
Shitty customer service. Lost my wallet here, and staff did little to nothing to help me find it. Go to Regal across the street. IMAX screens suck here.
Buy your drinks and popcorn at the first open food center
Get there early as there are a lot of escalators to the top.
This is my favorite movie theatre to be at! its my second home :)
Man of Steel is great!
No way to get from the top to the level below. And when you reach the top you find out theres no food to be purchased there.
Awesome! I love it here
How come the escalators never work?
Like all movie theater chains, AMC has to get over themselves and stop spelling theater as 'theatre'. When they do that, and stop charging $6 for a small popcorn, we'll be good.
The number of broken escalators at this theater is impressive, I wasn't even mad!
See a flick at 11am or earlier and it's only $7...
Go before noon Friday-Sunday, and get a great movie for $6.
IMAX screen is "fake," not the true giant size. Go to Lincoln instead
Many floors, many screens, many movies, many screenings.
You can see a couple of movies for the price of one...sneak in
$6 tickets before 11 am
Worst ticket kiosk machine ever have to hit the keys 100 times for a response
Snack bar on every floor looks like a gooey rat's nest
longest unnecessary wait at the concessions counter. prepare to wait on this apathetic staff.
