In addition to a lake, a petting zoo, soccer fields, and picnic shelters, this sprawling ode to the outdoors also has a whopping five acre area just for dogs.

This place has lots of space! Nice to come and breath once in awhile. Good access to public transportation, as the busses (135, 37) do come by (or close to) the entrance.

If you arrive shortly before sunset (when the park closes), you may still be able to enter with your car on the western entrance.

I love this park. I used to go as a child and lived it to death for the animals to pet and a random tractor to sit on. It's not in the greatest shape but there's still nostalgia factor.
