Our second Amoeba store, located in the heart of the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood.
A place to get lost among records, both CDs and vinyl. Great!
Huge record store. Save a day for this shop if you like record hunting.
Into music? This is the place.
Of course their collection is fantastic. They even have hard to find anime DVDs. More importantly though, don't miss the free live concerts from up and coming artists.
Rummage for old and new records.
Huge selection with rare stuff on the walls. Jazz vinyl section is very well rounded, a lot of new represses and original pressings. Check used records they have in sleeves & new arrivals!
Skateboarding may not be a crime, but shoplifting is and everyone is a suspect. Lots of stuff yet somehow they're always out of what I want. Pricey.
Last of the known record stores in the country! I love this place!
So many options, so much to explore.... Bring your credit card and prepare to spend
The selection of vinyl here is unbeatable. Very knowledgeable staff too.
Best record store in SF.
This is one of the greatest stores in the world. Having my entire music catalog in their database is the icing on the cake!
Make sure to leave some time to look at all of the old show poster prints they have. Some really great finds here.
If I ever win the lottery, I'm never walking back through that door or I'd blow it all in an hour. An amazing selection of vinyl. Their branded merch is dope.
See a band for free.
Giant record store that still exists and thrives while the industry of tangible media continues to vanish. Still have the live stage that hosts shows, still has the super knowledgable staff.
pretty much impossible to not leave with at least a couple of records...
Every single thing!
Drop in here if you're walking along Haight to Golden Gate Park. Amazing record selection - really cool place.
It's an institution. All kinds of wax, and Debby Harry bobble heads.
Leave your backpack at the entrance and spend a serious amount of time browsing the solid "used" sections. The place is huge! They also have video games and movies
Huge music selection, mostly classic rock but something from every genre.
Excellent store with a vast selection of used classical CDs. Lots of great stuff for $3 or less!
Show a young person what a "cassette" is!
One of the few stores left that swell interesting genre films.
Amoeba isn't just a record store!
Don't bypass the book selection
Make sure you set aside enough time to browse.
Simply the best record store on the entire West Coast. Go get lost in the new release listening stations. \m/
If you love Vinyl and would like to lose track of some time and money, this is the place to visit. Good selection on 45s. Nice punk finds.
Get your vinyls here, they have a very large selection. the place is huge and you kinda feel you're in the 70s or 80s
Amoeba us the record store to end all record stores. They have...everything. If you get paralyzed your first time out just buy an Amoeba reusable tote. You always need one in SF.
found a great price on my vinyl, lots of sweet trinkets too
I discovered this place after listening to 107.7 The Bone Radio here in NY and I must say it was worth the 2600+ mile trip! The smell, the nostalgia, the LP's, everything about this place is amazing.
Head to San Francisco’s wing of the Amoeba Music empire for Mandala, a biweekly DJ series that shows off staff spinning skills.
Go for the free in-store concerts and stay for the heavenly vinyl finds. This is my favorite place to waste a lot of time, and yes, sometimes money!
Cuties in the punk vinyl section can get it.
Go to an in-store show!
The paradise for vinyls and cd collectors, I got tired finding cool stuff at the metal section! Really... I could live here!
Best place for vinyl in SF.
Find our EP, For the Birds, under "Misc. G" in the Rock section!
They have a humongous shelf dedicated to Fillmore Auditorium concert posters. Give them a browse, you'll find a band/poster to love.
Great finds! A must see for any music lover.
