It should be the first stop in Siem Reap to understand the history of Khmer, the kings and Angkor Wat. It's a comprehensive tour covering many aspects of the Khmer history.

Very interesting museum, we visited it after temples but didn't regret. Lots of mini movies about Khmer culture and temples. Audio guide is helpful. I recommend to book online to pay less.

I would highly recommend going to the museum before visiting the templates in Siem reap, especially if you will visit them without a guide. It will help you know what you are looking at 😄

Entrance fee is USD12 and the audio kit is USD3. There are English video slides available around the museum though for the main halls. Less crowd during off peak season.

The normal admission fee for foreigners is USD 10. An audio guide comes at an extra USD 2. Worth a visit as a prelude to a visit to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom.

Bring your student cards for half price! 6USD instead of 12! $3 USD for audio tour, only about 20 items on it, not sure if it's really worth paying for the audio tour

Try it the other way round: visit main sites like Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon, Ta Phrom, Pre Rup, Bantaey Srei, Kbal Spean & Preah Khan with a guide THEN round it off with a trip to the museum. :)

Вход стоит 12$, ещё 3$ аудиогид (есть на русском языке), идти лучше сразу по приезду, перед просмотром Ангкора, что поможет лучше ориентироваться на местности и в истории храмового комплекса.
