Angkor Wat Temple is a temple complex built by King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. It has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag, and it is the country's prime attraction for visitors.
Waking up early to watch the sunrise here is definitely worth it.
İt's really beautiful here 👍
Incredible place! Definitely worth to visit! Girls, keep in mind that you should wear long skirts or trousers and tshirt with sleeves in order to get into some temples.
Lives up to its reputation. Needless to say, get up early to see the sunrise
Beautiful. A must see.
Love everything about Angkor. It's so huge! Catch the sunrise, bring lotsa water. Wear comfortable clothes, shoes. Bring cap/hat/shade too.
Civilisation that thrived and died out during some 600 years in 900-1500. Brilliant water management systems could not help the final collapse. See the 8 km long artificial lake still holding water.
Just go there?
Do go at sunrise. Then be done before it gets hot.
Just about the best temple in the world. Tip enough?
Impressive to see. Specially those stone carvings on the wall but overall preferred other ones more in the Archeological Park.
Amazing Sunrise View! It gets busy fast so try to avoid pick hours
Lived up to its fame as UNESCO Heritage Site. Simply wonderful.
The jewel of Cambodian heritage spanning a huge area. Beautiful wall carvings of Hindu mythology. Come in the morning to get a good photo opportunity with clear reflection in the water lily pond.
The place where you'll never regret paying a visit to.
One of Asias best temples.
Buy tickets a day before especially if you plan to catch the sunrise. Get the 3-day pass so you have enough time to check every nook and cranny. Crowds usually gather at the left side area so be wiser
The entrance ticket to Angkor Wat for one day is $20. There are lots of temples that you can visit and one day is actually not enough. Tuk tuk per day is around $15.

Take a tour guide wearing a uniform, not the ones without it. Enjoy, admire and remind yourself that once greet nation is on its knees now. Human success is temporary.
Incredible monument. Try to avoid the crowd
Famous historic site & beautiful scenic lookout. Prepare to walk yeah so casual wear is enough
You d better take some food with you, if you are not familiar with khmer food. lots of walk, be prepared
Half day tour is enough. You see 3 temples. So a temple is a temple is a temple, right?
Too many tourists, ruining the magic of this place...
Go right instead of left for a less crowded sunset spot, although the view is slightly less spectacular.
Get to the sunrise even earlier than they recommend - it gets crazy crowded and people get pushy. Be sure to cover your knees and shoulders if you want to go to the high/top temple.
Arrive early for sunrise. Gets crowded around 5:30 already. If you arrive early grab a seat on the stones right by the water for best view of the sunrise.
Sunrise was worth waiting for- but don't expect to be able to do a full day after getting up at 5am.
Don't eat in the rstaurants. Food is really bad and expensive.
The best time to visit the temple is during the sunrise (05:55 local time). Get a guide for $10-15 an hour to get the history of the temple.
It is great temple but so crowded with many big group tourists and loud tour guides' voice.
Don't leave without climbing to the top! You already made it here
Sunrise to see bright lit sky against shadow of angkor wat , sunset to see golden glow of angkor wat
Impressive. Take your time to explore this archaeological wonder.
For those who came from a selected nation, please be quiet... 请保持安静！
Must visit before you die! pre study about ancient cambodian history is recommended
Cover up on the top section (wear appropriate clothing). The female guardians are like extremely unreasonable in not allowing westerners up vs others. Very racist
Iconic views. Make sure you wear appropriate clothing - shoulders and knees covered otherwise you won't get onto the top layer
U need to be here by 5 am to see the sunrise at a good photo spot! Be careful, floods of peeps will be pushing which can be quite irritating.
Take the temple route backwards and see the first few temples in absolute solitude. Amazing!
Under 13 p.m. sun is straight to your eyes but after there are many tourists! So, go to sunrise. Photos are just pictures, but it is a sense of Angkor's spirit that will depends on your future life!
Stunning place but during rainy season sunrise is not always present
~ cool place for photoshoot 😎
Angkor Wat temple was built in 1122 and it was taken a time to build around 34 years and it is the biggest Hinduism temple in the world ( fine art ), etc.
The best way to visit the temples is to rent Tuk Tuk for one day. Do not attempt to visit the area cycling because it is huge and the temperatures around 32 C.
