Amazing, decently priced sushi. It's never really crowded so you should be able to walk in and get a table. Sit in the back where the roof is open during the summer.
The spicy chicken ramen is too salty
Shiitake mushrooms are great!! Sushi is fresh and delicious but over priced. Portions are small
I would not pay this much money to come here. Service is great, but the food is just not worth the money. Too bland.
Amazing sushi and great service
Incredible food. Wait for Corn to be back in season!!
Spicy tako spring rolls and Kani Maguro... Can't go wrong.
The brussels sprouts are amazing! Also the mochi robata (bacon wrapped rice cake) was delicious! Really awesome place.
The "Arami ramen" is beefy and thick. It's good for when you want ramen, but you also want pot roast. The soup is overseasoned and somewhat gravy-like, but this is generally pretty good.
Have a rye manhattan w curaçao & byrrh.
A little pricey, but the best sushi in Chicago. You have to have the Brussels sprouts with lamb.
Excellent sushi and sashimi
Fresh fish and good service. Got to try
Birkat hamazon worthy!!
Sashimi is great, though for more traditional lovers of cooked fare, the menu can be a bit limiting.
This was my first "Fancy" Ramen experience. Don't think a bowl is worth $15, but tasty nonetheless. Definitely try the Scallop Cake and for all my whiskey fans, the Nikka Nori Old Fashioned is a must!
Arami Ramen: Deep and rich, this is one soul-satisfying broth, topped with a perfectly cooked poached egg.
Don't sit at the sushi bar. The food demands a better atmosphere.
One of the best sushi restaurants I have been to in Chicago. Unique maki rolls, amazing scallop cake & the seared tuna appetizer was delicious.
get the arami ramen!
Try the Cauliflower - Hmmm good!
The new robata concept is good - the pork jowl is tender and flavorful. Not a fan of the sukiyaki.
Try the Togarashi-Seared Tuna
Love the private bench at the sushi bar
Be sure to order the Kimchi Ramen
Try the Zuke Sake Hotate
Order a couple pieces of Hirame
Narutotai specialty sake is great and amazing especially for sipping while eating all the delicious morsels at arami. Get all the special nigiris and sashimis. UNI is amazing as well!
stick with the special nigiri - best in the city
Togarashi seared tuna - seared tuna, seaweed salad, kelp noodle, creamy Meyer lemon dressing. Is great.
Sushi steals the show, but don't be shy about trying the kitchen food.
Freshest sushi in Chi. Get the truffle hamachi!
Seared togarashi tuna. Trust me - order two. It's delicious meaty tune with togarashi spice rub on a bed of kelp noodles. Happiness on a wee little plate!
Best in the Chi!
Sushi is great- fresh and good flavors! Liked the shrimp tempura and soft-shell crab maki. Try the short ribs and octopus spring rolls. Skip the ramen, and go to Takashi instead for ramen...
The presentations are painstakingly beautiful. Chef sashimi combo is a great deal. Excellent ramen. Omakase available on pre-order @ sushi bar.
Ramen crazy close to Momofuku's. Togarishu tuna was UNREAL. And while they are byob they have delivery for your beverage needs!
