An amazing monument to visit in Paris, but don't forget to look up to appreciate the many details which can be found on the ceiling as well as the eternal flame which has been burning since 1923 Read more

The best view of all Paris at the top of the Arc de Triomphe. Go to top and see the beauty of the city. Also learn about the history of the Arc, is really amazing. My favorite place of Paris.

Nice view on Champs Élysées, the other half is closed. Quite expensive (€9.50), so better visit using the Paris Pass. Open till late, so visit museums first, then climb the Arc and take a cruise after

Night and day, and even on rainy days, it still worth the visit. If you are going to get in try to do it on a sunny day and be brave walking all the steps to the top to get a marvellous view.

Incredible views. A must see. If you are from the European community. The entrance is free. Even if you are just studying and have an ID from that country.

Go at night for incredible city views. Fun fact: The archway is so huge that in 1919, Charles Godefroy flew his biplane under it as part of the victory celebrations at the end of WWI. Read more

A lot of people go and check out the view from the Eiffel Tower but the one on top is great simply as it is the only junction in the full world with so many roads going through

The Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle, at the western end of the Champs-Élysées

Paris Museum Pass gets you to the top for free and you can skip the ticket line. There's an elevator for those who physically cannot take the stairs, though there is still about 30 steps to the top.

Biggest round-abound in the world!! Magnificent view from the top - It is much more worth it going up the Arc rather then Eiffel Tower (queue is practically non-existant, cheaper, cooler)

This huge monument stands at one end of the Avenue des Champs-Elysées, in the middle of the carrefour de l'étoile. You can go upstairs, you'll have a really nice view of the Avenue.

Look for the underground passageway on the roundabout just off the Champs Élysées to get a different perspective of the Arc even if you don't want to pay to climb the stairs and view Paris from above Read more

Find the underground path to cross the street to the center (There are two on opposite ends) Enjoy the view from the top, then walk down Champs-Elysées and do some fancy window shopping.

Simply fantastic 360 degree views of Paris. But if you're on foot, there are a lot of stairs to climb - lift available, but it doesn't go all the way to the top

One if the best place to take a photo of Arc de Triomphe is in the middle of the road (there's a small area for people to line up without getting run over by cars)

Certainly one of the most iconic monuments of Paris. Unlike the Eiffel Tower, it's not so spectacular at night, it's better to visit it when the sun is still up.

U can have a good view of the Arch from the Champs-Élysées. If u wanna take a good symmetric photo with it u can stand in the pavement of the middle of the street.

Sit at Place de L’etoile square and admire the beautiful monument while the hustle and bustle of Paris passes you by. If you are feeling more adventurous, climb to the top to get a full view of Paris.

The Arc de Triomphe costs just 9 euros to ascend and the view down Champs Élysées is well worth the money. Be prepared as you have to walk to the top but can ride an elevator down.

Definitely worth the 12 Euros (Jan 2016) to go up. Best view of Paris, even better than that on the Eiffel Tower. Focal point of Paris.

Gorgeous monument with a rooftop viewing deck. Although the structure itself is gorgeous, the views of the Paris skyline can't be beat.

Best view of Paris. The price is completely worth it. If you can't get up the several stories of spiral staircases, there's an elevator!
  • Greg S.
    Greg SuttonAugust 11, 2013
If you can't manage the steps then there is a lift that takes you most of the way (to the gallery floor). The lift is located opposite the steps exit. Then there are about 40 more steps to the roof.

A fabulous monument, however once you're stood next to it, you can also entertain yourself watching the suicidal driving on the road around it. Chaos.

The entrance to go on top costs € 9.50 per person for adult. Behold, there's no elevator for the general use, so be ready to climb the stairs of about 50 meters.

The roof of the Arc de Triomphe is a good place to feel the Paris w Parisiens in her. Below there is the ceremony every day around 18.30 for the war heroes by re-kindling of eternal flame.

You may stop at the middle of Champs-Elysées to take a good photo of the Arc. Just don't get hit by a car!

See the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I and pay your respects to those inscribed names who fought in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Stands on Place Charles de Gaulle.
