Make sure to get there early (11-1115am) otherwise the lines are long and the seats few. Can't go wrong with meat and three: try the ham or roast beef. Mac & cheese and mashed potatoes are excellent.

Kitchen help is a hoot. Loved the Baked Chicken and Squash. Spiced is certainly the theme in Nashville. Keep that in mind when eating local favorites :)

The desserts are all delicious, but don't touch the plates unless you want them! Meats, mashed potatoes, sweet tea, collared greens are all great. Cafeteria style can be a bit disorienting

To be honest, I'm not sure what the appeal was here. Something must've changed between when DD&D visited, but when I went recently, everything was really, really salty and just not fun to eat...

This food was not as great as it seems. Their green beans are very salty and the sweet tea is way to sweet as well as the pie. The only thing I really liked was the fried catfish and the mac n cheese

Good food. Beats Loveless Cafe on quality. Gets really crowded & is a very small place. Go early, or plan on waiting. It's a meat-and-three place, and good as far as that goes, but not "amazing".
