Art and Soul, located in the heart of Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, offers guests a chic setting in which to meet and connect, while enjoying “food for the soul” – food made with love and special attention.
Great happy hour atmosphere. The fried pickles were so so.
What an absolute disappointment. They can't even get breakfast right. Plenty of amazing restaurants in DC, skip this joke.
Surprised with their locally grown and produced menu items. Enjoyed the beer, burgers and service. Definitely a must stop in the capital.
Overpriced and not worth it
The fried chicken is crispy and perfectly cooked. Save room for dessert: the tarts and pies are warm and yummy.
Excellent food and funky hip atmosphere.
Bartender is the best
Great drinks, even better happy hour specials! Just make sure you know it's in a hotel.
Shrimp and grits and the lamb shank were a bomb !!!
Fried chicken for two.
Great atmosphere and incredible food. The fried chicken was a group hit!!!
Pretty good service and the food is not bad.
Expensive and the mixed drinks are not good.... At all. Rooftop bar by pool is pretty cool. Tips are included in the prices up there, beware!
Yummy Food & good service
Great take on southern classics. Shrimp and grits was excellent early lunch.
Refreshing drinks - Try the ginger or lemon
Amazing pea and mint salad
Well, except for the $15 shot of rye...
Food was great, but the service was way slow and the bathrooms were inconvenient.
If you're looking for a healthy breakfast, order from the Art Start Breakfast Menu - market omelet + toasted granola w/ yogurt are both delicious.
Has a firepit
Great for business meetings with vegetarians...they offer a vegetable quiche of the day!
From Washingtonian: lemon yogurt pancakes, cheddar and maple bacon bfast sandwich, fruit parfait.
Their brunch is awesome 👌
Excellent soul food gastropub. Try the shrimp & grits and fried chicken.
Caution: the background music may make you want to sing along! :) love it!
The Caesar is a true Caesar; the Mac and Cheese is perfect and the wine menu is impressive. I said ImPressivE!
Food was delicious (and I love that they have a separate dog menu! ), super cute decor, and a lovely waitress... unfortunately the restaurant management is AWFUL... extremely disorganized!
Get the fried chicken buscuit!
Kenya is one of the best waitresses I've ever had while dining. Thank you!
The all-you-can eat brunch is worth the splurge. I have never seen a cheese display so glorious.
The cornbread is perfection. So was the blueberry pisco sour and my country ham and cherry tomato salad.
Make sure that "Carl" is your waiter. He's GREAT!!!
FRIED CHICKEN BISCUIT. What else do I need to say?
The dog hanger steak for $5 is a great deal!
That's an amazing restaurant with a magnific staff service. I was impressed for how attentive they are for everything , mostly the small details. Free parking!!! Plus the food is awesome.
Vegetarians: get the savory crêpe
Start with the wedge salad - it's large, but don't share it; too delicious to part ways with half.
If you haven't checked out the new space & menu. You are missing out on so much! Tonight was a prefect welcome back to the DC food scene! Start to finish not one issue other than I am stuffed! AMAZING
Overpriced and the food is edible. Not impressed. I has high hopes.
The lemon pancakes are amazing! The service was outstanding, also.
Eat at bar for happy hour prices
Great food!! Love the atmosphere!!!
Best dessert ever! :)
Nothing vegetarian on the menu but they made an exception to make something :)
Heavy Southern food - no healthy/ light options so be prepared...
I'd fly into National just for a side trip here for the yeast rolls.
