Pizzaiolos, cousins and best friends, Francis Garcia and Sal Basille opened Artichoke Basille's on 14th St. in 2008. Having gotten their hands into the business early working at their family restaurants, Basille's in Staten Island, they boys and their pizza shop have made m...
If you can take a 1700 calorie hit to the gut, the artichoke slice is an incredible indulgence.
Margherita slice, artichoke slice, crab slice whatever! It is all so good. Three locations in NYC and now in Astoria (lucky..)
It's called artichoke. If you leave here without even trying the artichoke pizza, you're seriously missing out.
Artichokes slice is insanely large and heavy. Tasty though. It's not your typical pizza slice. Will be back to try another.
Don't get the artichoke slice... So. Heavy. I. Can't.
The artichoke pizza is the best-- just remember one slice is enough--Coors Light on draft is iced cold--- love this place!!
$5 artichoke slice
Artichoke slice. Must have.
Their monster-sized namesake Artichoke slice is totally worth the hype!
The slices are huge and drool worthy.
Wasn't too impressed the first time. Second time around, 🙌
Definitely in my top 3. Crust is perfectly crunchy, sauce is well-seasoned & cheese is melted from big chunks. Go with a friend and split the sicilian grandma, sicilian vodka and an artichoke slice.
Artichoke pizza is very tasty!
The artichoke pizza is heavenly
The pizza is very bready, and the artichoke pizza is super creamy. Nothing too spectacular, but it's different and worth a try.
Artichoke pizza or get out
The Artichoke slice is filling but never agrees with my digestive system. But I never get anything else!
Late night pizza #ftw
One of my two favorite pizzas in the city. If only they had DEEP DISH ARTICHOKE PIZZA.
Great pizza. Go for the classic slice with artichoke 🍕
Get a crab slice
Avoid this place. Traditional bad and confusing American service and fixed menus. Be smart and choose another place.
A friend dragged me here after Sweet & Vicious one night. No idea what I ordered or how, but it was delicious.
Holy cow the artichoke slice
$5 artichoke slice (the white slice) is worth it! It's huge! You can split it between 2 people but I don't suggest it because it's that good and filling!
Be prepared to wait in line
Everyone looks like they're having sex with their pizza
Come hungry and don't plan on walking anywhere far after cause this pizza is good but it's gonna feel like a rock in your stomach.
Obviously get a slice of the artichoke !
Places is amazing, pizza comes out quick! Anything you order here is delicious.
Ok pizza, a bit greasy and not my style of pizza though.
Jumped the shark. Stick to the original east village location or just buy a $0.99 slice literally anywhere. They just don't give a crap anymore here.
$5 for an artichoke slice? Ok. $5 for a margarita slice? About $2 too much and not worth it. The place on the corner holds its own and will save you a bunch of $.
The spinach artichoke pizza is heaven after a night of drinking <3
grab a slice and walk around the neighborhood
Try the crabmeat pizza. They take the same mixture you would use for crab cakes, and sprinkle it on.
Same taste as the EV store, however no free soda Foursquare deal :(
order the margarita pizza. take a few bites of your friend's artichoke slice.
Meh. Didn't live up to the hype. Artichoke Pizza was super creamy. If you like Alfredo on pizza, this is your bag. Otherwise, long live Pizza 33!
just love it!!
Most amazing pizza EVER
Vodka sauce slice is to die for... literally
Pass on the Artichoke and Crab slices...Margherita is the play. P.S. Susan Sarandon eats here.
Skip the artichoke-dip-on-a-pizza, and opt for the Grandma Slice. It's oily, crisp, and nearly deep-fried on the bottom with a triple play of cheese, but be sure to ask for a corner piece.
Had potential but hard pizza crust
So far I've only tried the crab pizza and thought it was genius! So I'm def going back to try the rest :)
Come here in the wee hours of the morning to enjoy the company of the inebriated.
