    Just across the river is this beautiful oasis that is never overrun with people! Enjoy running (there also a track), biking, tennis, a play or a relaxing picnic. They also have free WiFi!

    I love the beauty and expansiveness of this park. It saddens me to see garbage on the ground, so I try to pick up a few pieces here and there each time I visit. I'd love to see others do the same!

    For god's sake, be careful if you're biking on the paths. Beautiful park, but the paths are almost always strewn with little twigs and branches; you WILL blow out if you're not careful and watching yo

    Love the view of the sunset. Love how they've kept the children's park maintained. One of the good parks in NYC.

    Nice green place, you can have a breath of fresh air and have a nice view of the setting sun over the manhattan. Sometimes, there are free open air concerts.

    Bring a blanket and lay out on the big lawn, or pack a bathing suit and combination lock and hit the pool. Squirrels abound.

    This park has everything. Wifi, plenty of benches, historical significance, waterfront views, a pool, playgrounds, picnic space, skatepark, tennis courts, and a track.

    Spacious park that overlooking Manhattan. There's a track to run, pool, plenty of benches, tennis courts, basketball courts. Basically everything you need.

    56 acres along East River were acquired to create William Jay Gaynor Park (after the city's mayor from 1909 to 1913). However it was quickly renamed Astoria Park in December 1913.

    I use to live about 6-7 blocks away from hear for about 3 years. I went swimming there always and sat in the park watching what was going on in there when I was just hanging out sitting in the grass.

    Bring beers, but keep it in Solo cups. Don't be an obvious asshole and you'll never get a summons. Find the tall guy with the 1980's boombox (me) and have a drink. Enjoy the summer. Peace!
